Goldie's Donuts & Bakery — Restaurant in West Vancouver

First few things that comes to my mind when I visited this establishment was how clean it was. Very cozy and warm experience for you to sit down, relax, and enjoy a beverage and donut of your choice. Service is what you expect with 90% of the places, nothing made it special.

Now getting to the review, when entering the establishment, I was greeted by a nice selection of donuts and two instantly stuck out to me. The flavors was matcha and the raspberry pistachio donut. When preparing to order I noticed their beverages menu. What I found extremely helpful was how there was a recommended best choices menu which advertised their best sellers. Perfect for someone who can't really make up their mind. Therefore I ended up ordering a matcha latte, with the matcha donut and pistachio raspberry donut. When I took my first bite on the matcha donut, I was pleasantly surprised on how nice and fluffy it was inside. It also had a nice slightly chewy consistency while also being nice and warm. As a bonus, there was also a pleasant rich matcha filling that wasn't too sweet and the filling was distributed evenly, pairing each bite with a nice amount of the filling.

The star of the experience to me was the pistachio raspberry donut. Same amount of filling as the matcha donut, but the flavors absolutely blew my mind. Rich flavor from the pistachio paired with a hint of raspberry, along with with some sweetness of the white chocolate layer on top absolutely cemented this as one of the best donuts I've had.

The matcha Latte was alright. Nice matcha flavor that wasn't too powerful. Nice and balanced with the milk creating a solid matcha latte. Not the best as there was no surprise factor to it. but definitely not the worst matcha latte I've had.

Only gripe with this place was how the lids proved to be near impossible to put on and the straws were soaked with coffee for some reason?

Overall, an amazing place for donuts and the pistachio raspberry donut definitely solidified this bakery as one of the best donut spots in Vancouver. Although quite a bit of a distance if you're coming from the city, but definitely worth it. I would recommend this place for sure as it offers an amazing selection of donuts, all made with care and love. They don't skip out on quality as well. Definitely a must try for those who haven't been and of course I will be back,...

I'll start with the positive points. The donut and latte were both fresh and tasty. The interior design was beautiful with a great view. We asked if they had any gluten-free options, but unfortunately, they did not. We suggested it would be nice if they added a gluten-free option in the future, and the cashier, with an attitude, told us most donut shops do not have gluten-free options. Really? I would give the donut shop itself a 5/5. However, the cashier was beyond extremely rude. I usually do not write long or negative reviews, but this experience had to be shared.

After getting my latte, I brought it to a table and tried to put the cap on, but it spilled. I apologized to the cashier for the mess, but she rudely rolled her eyes and sarcastically said one word with a very bad attitude: "NICE!" .I didn't spill the coffee on purpose, and even if that was the case, her reaction was completely unprofessional. I gave her feedback, telling her that this was not good behaviour to your customer and she rolled her eyes again without responding. I hope they check the camera to see what happened. Yesterday was the perfect day for a nice coffee/donut run. The location of this local cafe is quiet with stunning views. We walked in and we were immediately welcomed by all the staff. Jae, one of the owners, greeted us at the counter with the biggest smile on his face :) and directed us to the donuts and coffee menu.

We ordered the Strawberry cream donut, Matcha cream donut, iced oat latte and their signature Nutty Cloud (iced peanut butter sweet cream latte); all for dine-in. Let me tell you...it was good. The coffee was nice and strong, not too sweet which I really appreciate! The donuts had the right amount of softness with a crunchy sugar coating and the fillingggg - so creamy, LIGHT, and the level of sweetness was just perfection.

If I lived any closer I'd come here all the timeeee... but I don't, so I couldn't resist and got myself an entire box of donuts to bring home with me because they all looked so delicious and they are!!!
