Ferry travel can be tedious, but “The Good Karma Cafe” in the Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal is a place I look forward to going. I believe they serve the best coffee in the lower mainland. We like the coffee so much we bought a five pound bag so we can enjoy it at home. I just finished eating one of their fruit and flax muffins. Very hearty and nutritious. It will more than keep me going through the journey ahead. You can expect great service from the friendly staff. They also have oat milk. A great fuel stop!

This stall is the only option when you arrive at the ferry terminal. You can leave the terminal to grab other items (highly recommended). We only ordered an oat milk latte and Americano. Coffee lovers - this is not good coffee. It barely passes as a decent cup - period. The grind is not configured correctly, or the roast is just premature... Perhaps, they skimp on the ratio of grinds to each cup - I'm not sure. This is not what is expected of coffee. I'm sorry for leaving a bad review!

Was very pleasantly surprised when the nearly 7$ muffin I ordered looked nothing like in the photo and instead a pile of guano (google it and tell me im wrong). Even better was the flavor; I don't know how you managed to transform "local organic products" into gruel but you did it. 5 stars for the atmosphere though because we're the only planet with chocolate LOL I threw my plastic cup in the ocean

I usually don’t review a place that I didn’t actually get to try, but since most of the reviews here are old and don’t entirely match the experience I had with the place, I figured I’d leave this to give others an idea of what to expect. The place is a roadside stand. There are a few tables to the side of the stall, not under cover. The vibey hippie shack that you see in old photos is no longer there. It’s pretty hard to find, at least if you’re a foot passenger on the ferry. It’s outdoors by the vehicle loading area for Berth 3, which is on the east side of the terminal. From the foot passenger area, I found two ways to get there but both were pretty awkward. They really need to add the location or directions to the signs that they have up all over the terminal; if I hadn’t spent so much time figuring out where to go, I might’ve made it there on time to get something. The service was really slow. I joined the lineup around 8 am thinking that it would be kind of close but I’d be back in the terminal by 8:15 to catch my 8:35 ferry, and I was holding out even as the minutes ticked by, hoping that the people in front of me might have easy orders, but even things like baked goods and regular coffee were taking a while. When the line got to the two people in front of me and they tried to order two mochas, the barista told them it wouldn’t be ready in time for them to catch the ferry, so I also got out of line at that point. The barista seemed very friendly and I appreciated that he was upfront about the time it would take to prepare the drinks. This kind of service is not a good fit for the ferry terminal, though, where people are on a...

Very cute location, and the coffee is good. The food is mediocre and often a wait or sold out. Today, we encountered both. The "8 minute" pizza (written on the board and warned by the staff, which we agreed to) took 20+ and when asked, discovered they had forgotten it on a counter. Admittedly, they were busy when I asked, but they had had no customers except us when we arrived and no one for 15 minutes. 8 minute pizza could have been done twice over. Also forgot about the cinnamon roll.

The 3 staff members seemed hectic and lost, one kept taking orders, another furiously texting on her phone, and the third running around like a chicken with her head cut off, but not really accomplishing anything. They were still laughing and chatting amongst themselves how easy closing would be with 3 people.

We've been here before and the service has never been spectacular, but it has never been so bad as today. If there was another cafe at the terminal, they would definitely get our business instead.

Also, $7+ for a watery...

Smoothie was good but what is this young girls problem working here? She said she couldn’t hear me like four times yet she has ear buds in. I asked her to make the smoothie whichever was easier for her as there was different options. I’m not picky. She said what, what ,what three more times with her earbuds in. I need a receipt for work so I requested one. She handed me it all crumpled up!? I then asked for an itemized one and she said she would email it to me. I provided her with my email but never received the receipt. Seriously what is this girls problem? Spoiled west van girl mad she has to work? Won’t buy anything here again unless I hear back from the owner. Also the smoothies cost $10 and she was mad I didn’t tip her after all this? Lol what an...
