Just left this location, after a disastrous visit. Our group of nine went in at 10:40 on a Sunday morning...like a ghost town. No music, TVs off, eerie silence. We were greeted immediately - so I'll acknowledge that - and sent to a table, where a guy took our drink orders. This review is going to be almost comical, since - from this point on - there is not one good thing to say Our server seemed completely out of it; easily distracted (left the table IN THE MIDDLE OF TAKING OUR ORDERS!! with no explanation... TWICE!!!), then forgot to come back. In. An. Empty. Restaurant. As we waited, two other tables were seated, then a third. Not sure how they made out, but our waters, coffees were finished before we even ordered our food. A different guy came over and offered refills, but everyone was just looking to order our food. My husband did order a coffee from this guy, and he brought it. Had to search through the creamers for fresh ones, as the first two were bad (I'm talking SOLID...they'd solidified!!!)đ€ź Finally ordered our food, and over an hour later 6 of us did have our orders brought to the table. All were completely cold, one was the wrong order completely, one (HONEST TO GOD) had a hair in it, one had peameal that was thin, brown, and like leather, and three people - who ordered eggs benny were a complete, disgusting soggy mess. We decided to ask for the manager, and our server pointed to himself. We were like, buddy, this is just not ok. My brother in law told him to take his back and that he didn't want anything else, and the rest of us just kinda followed suit. Two in our group still didn't even have their breakfast yet. I don't know what's happening to all our restaurants, but this chain used to be pretty reliable. For 15+ dollars per order, there should be some standard...I wouldn't eat here for free. We ended up being comped for everything but no one ate anything beyond their first taste anyway. Just awful. Over TWO HOURS for nothing (but a bunch of hangry people). I guess we should have run as soon as we saw it was empty. No customers speaks volumes. So, long story short:...
Read moreThis location is terrible! Just placed an order on Skip The Dishes and put special instructions in the notes. I personally have a severe allergy to a few foods and mentioned that in the notes. The food arrived and everything ordered has items we did not want, missing items and an item Iâm severely allergic to. We called the restaurant and they replied with âthanks for the feedback â. They didnât feel bad at all for messing up and had no intentions in making it right. I brought the food back to the restaurant and the lady working took the food away and wouldnât let me speak. I had to speak to another employee and mention my allergies and that it needs to be taken seriously. The lady re made our food but had to check in many times asking what we ordered. They seem to have no clue what their menu is or what items come with the meals. They finally finished the order and as I got to my car to check the food they AGAIN. Messed up, I returned back to the restaurant and they fixed the item. They still did not go out of their way at all to fix the experience. I purposely ordered delivery for a reason and going in and still getting the wrong order is ridiculous. This place seems to constantly be messed up and have terrible staff. They ignore you when you walk in and donât even care to hear you talk. The one man that works there is always taking the orders for people dinning in and is extremely rude and always forgets what you order or gives the wrong orders. Havenât had one good experience at this restaurant location and this time will definitely be the last. Absolutely disgusted by how they acted and donât even take the time to make sure the order is correct. Save your money and go to any other breakfast place. They obviously donât care about allergies or making the food properly. The portions are small and the food is always missing something. I definitely do...
Read moreWent in on a Saturday at noon, the fact that the restaurant was empty should have been a sign. I ordered the Chicken and Waffle sandwich which was supposed to come on a jalapeno and cheddar infused waffle. The menu description said exactly that and in the picture of the sandwich you could clearly see the shredded cheddar and jalapeno in the waffle. When our food was brought over, instead what I received was a bunch of iceberg lettuce, a chicken finger, and a Kraft single on a completely plain waffle with some sauce drizzled on top. I asked the manager about it and he said that "the menu was wrong and that's how it comes". I said well that's not what I ordered and he proceeded to fight with me saying the Kraft single was the cheddar and there was sauce on top. He eventually brought over someone from the kitchen who agreed with me that it was not what I ordered, but they do not have the ability to make that sandwich. I was nothing but polite the entire time I had been in the restaurant and yet the male manager continue to argue with me, stating that "they've been making that sandwich for months and I'm the first person to point it out". Also that "every one of the 52 Eggsmarts makes it the same way" which I know is not true because I've had it the proper way at a different location. I suggested that if the "menu was wrong" they should change it or at least let customers know when ordering but his response was that I'm the only one to have pointed it out. Honestly had they just said "we apologize" and attempted to correct the situation rather than argue that I was wrong then I would not be writing this review. The kitchen manager was nice enough and not argumentative but the male manager (front of house) was very rude, and customer service clearly isn't a priority. We will return to the other location in Whitby,...
