I do not enjoy writing less than favorable reviews. But how does this place have a 4.9 rating? We are used to going to Younee sushi which has a 4.8 rating (ratings in most places are inflated) but esp. for Whitby that is pretty good sushi. We've also had amazing quality sushi in Toronto. Starting with the miso soup, it was not very tasty, much better at Younee. Then comparing the spicy salmon maki and the crab salad maki, neither tasted good. 1 issue I can point out for the spicy salmon, the Nori was difficult to chew. The Jap Chae appetizer was pretty good however. I hope Midami can improve to live up to its 4.9 rating, but I'll be sticking with Younee sushi. I do want to say, everyone working there seems very nice though (I just did pickup). EDIT: To respond to owners comments, I was trying to be polite, the sushi was objectively bad (nori was unchewable for example)...I don't need a comparison, but I put one in for folks that may require an alternative like myself.
