4.5/5 Stars We went for lunch on Father's Day to this new restaurant, Namak Handi and I would like to share my experience. It was a good discovery. Their paaya, nihaari, Haleem and Maash Daal were really delicious and the till naan and kheer were awesome 👍🏽😎. Also we tried kulcha which was as good as back home. The girl who was serving us, by the name of Muskaan, was very polite and pleasant. We also got a chance to meet the owner who was a very humble and respectful person which are good qualities in order to run in hospitality. The only thing which was not good was the Shinwari chicken. It could have been a coincidence but the best thing is that the owner was very considerate and accommodating about this situation which is a very nice thing in order to run a business. The place is clean. The only thing they can improve a little on is the presentation of the food and the serving dishes that the food are served in. For example, the karahi dish, they could get a better one. I could have avoided this part but since I am a sincere and honest person and want them to do better in order to be successful in the long-run I decided to share my feedback here. So I will recommend that people should come to this restaurant and...
Read moreI’m in the middle of eating as I write this. lol. So good! Was craving spice and full bold flavours. Chicken karahi specifically. I randomly landed on a new place in Whitby. I went through Uber eats which many of their dishes are discounted there. Pricing was really good. I got chicken karahi bone in (they have boneless for a dollar more), Chicken biryani and garlic naan. This will give me lunches for at least 2 more days and came in at just over $30 with tip.
Whenever people review and say it had the perfect spice, I am annoyed because I don’t know what that means. Perfect for who? And yet. Here I am to say it had the perfect spice. lol. If you’re craving bold flavours AND spice this literally checked all the boxes. It wasn’t making me cry so it was unenjoyable, but it also wasn’t weak where I’m disappointed I’m not at least having a little bit of a challenge. 😏.
Definitely will be ordering again and glad I took a chance on them. Namak Handi in Whitby on...
Read moreVisited the newly opened place as part of the journey to eat good food, have an experience and share it 👍 My order was a take out which included chicken biryani, chicken tikka with a complimentary rice pudding 🍮 ! Had ordered at the restaurant and was given a warm greeting by Maha! She helped answer few questions on the preparation style and spice level. The chicken tikka was cooked to perfection! It was well marinated and seasoned! The chicken biryani was even more flavourful ! Could get the aroma right from the order pick up time ☺ The rice pudding was prepared well. I loved the presentation in all the food served. They took care to ensure that take out orders are handled and packed well ! The quantity for all the three items is very good. I found a great value for money and would recommend all,do visit this place and enjoy the food and experience! You won't be disappointed! Will surely be back to try out the other...
