St. Louis has been a favourite and convenient place for my family and friends to go to, as we live within walking distance. However, there is one waitress/bartender that has ruined our experiences, not once but twice. The first time she was our waitress, she had a really unfriendly way about her. She seemed annoyed and we felt rushed and as though we were “bothering” her. I let it go, knowing that everyone has bad days and this could just be one of them. We were in there several times again with great service from other servers. Upon picking up an order a few weeks ago, the original woman I was speaking of was the one who gave me my food. Again, she seemed unfriendly but given that restaurants were just opening again, I felt badly and gave her a huge tip because I appreciate those who are working through this. The money definitely put a smile on her face. Just a few days ago, my family and I ordered dinner for pickup. I picked up and when I arrived home I discovered that the order was wrong and we were missing many items. I called the restaurant and they told me to come back and pick up the correct order. ( the girl I spoke with in the phone was very friendly and apologetic) Upon arriving back at St Louis, the same unfriendly server/Bartender I spoke of earlier was there. She seemed very unhappy (as per usual) to hand me over the correct order. No smile, no apology....nothing. The only thing she said was “did you bring the wrong order back to us” I was flabbergasted! Are you kidding me? Not only can you not re-serve this food to other customers, but we’re in the midst of a PANDEMIC! When I told her that I didn’t bring it back she rolled her eyes at me and said “fine”. Clearly she made a point of being rude and felt the need to say something to me. Not something positive...something completely out of line. As a former server myself, I respect and know how difficult it can be to work in that industry. The difference is though that I was kind and friendly and treated everyone with respect. I REFUSE to go back there as long as this woman is working there and I will absolutely talk to my friends and family and I’m certain they will follow suit. It’s quite disappointing considering we really enjoy the food there but I will not compromise. Her attitude is horrible and she should think about taking a job that does not require interaction...
Read moreWas in the neighbourhood and my wife was craving mozzie stiks so we gave St Louis a call to find out if they could "fit" us it. We were fortunate to find that they could indeed accept just 2 more people before they hit the magic 10 number. Being just 2 stoplights away and having a heavy foot, we made it in record time. We were greeted by a lovely young lady Madison who during our entire time there, went out of her way to make our visit a pleasant experience. I cannot express who helpful and friendly she was!
The wine was delivered in record time served in the correct glasses (a big surprise) and the mozzie stiks followed right behind them. The rest of our food followed promptly and we were able to meet the 75 minute curfew with no problem.
Right now it is a tough time for these restaurant people and Madison and her mate had to turn away at least a 1/2 dozen groups to stay within the limitations. They both did it with friendliness and humour and none of the turnaways left angry or upset (a wonder in itself!)
If you are in the neighbourhood, give them a visit. You won't be disappointed! Mr District Manager, this young lady was fantastic!
Stopped in on a Saturday evening during the start of the last "Red Zone" invocation. Honestly, I was NOT expecting much because of the chaos caused by covid.
This location had implemented the 10 seat maximum rule and as luck would have it, we were #9 & 10 respectively.
From what we could see, we were the only seated guest eating as opposed to drinking but the take-out business was going at a furious rate. With some nervousness we ordered soups (tomato & onion) and were delighted in the taste of both. At the same time my wife (a vegetarian) also order cheese mozza sticks which she professed to be better than any of the other local restaurants. I ordered simply some breaded wings and fires and was more than happy with the presentation and the overall quality.
What made the visit was the attention of the server Renat who went well out of her way to keep us happy while at the same time having to turn away numerous customers because of the restrictions.
I'm happy and so was my wife and we will return again. (Previous review) -Service was great but the food...
Read moreI have always been a fan of this chain of restaurants.
But the service at this location was lacking. We had asked for napkins as we had an accidentally spill, we waited for the napkins as there was liquid all over us and the chair… they never came. The waiter didn’t even seem to care about taking care of the people that they were supposed to be serving. When walking over to the washroom it looked like talking to other workers and talking to the people that were drinking at the bar was more important. The whole time we were dinning if we need something the waiter was nowhere to be seen from the table at all.
The food the chicken is good as it normally are but ribs were not even close to edible… anyone that knows ribs knows you really shouldn’t have to use a knife to remove the meat from the bones.
We had our child with us, with a child meal they get a Sunday ice cream with their meal. They was VERY excited but the bowls comes and a bowl of just ice cream nothing ELSE. Not a big deal if it said Ice cream but is said Sunday and kids are going to notice that you just handed them a bowl of ice cream and nothing else.
Not sure if the service person just doesn’t care about the job or if the owner is not giving the service the right information or materials to do their job. Not satisfied, safe your self the heart break of not getting what you came for a...
