I visited this Tim Horton's on February 4th 2017 around 1:45pm. Granted that it is "roll up the rim" I was prepared and expecting for Tim's to be busy. Since the parking lot/drive thru at this location is generally a nightmare, I went inside to order. I waited far longer than the coffee is worth, and got two medium coffees. Just as I was squeezing my way through the order line up, to get out the door, I realized only one of my cups had a "roll up the rim" cup and the other had an ordinary cup. I'll be honest and say the only reason I went to Tim's was to participate in the roll up (I'm an avid McDonald's coffee drinker). I walked back up to the pick up counter and explained that I only got one game cup. The first girl questioned whether or not I had just bought it there - I said yes of course. Her manager ever so hesitantly gave me a game cup. I can't believe I was the one in question, at their mistake. I hardly ever go to Tim's anymore and this is why. The coffee at McDonald's is not only less expensive - it also tastes far better than Tim's coffee. On top of that, their customer service is always great, their lines are very efficient, their drive-thrus have more than one lane and even their lobby's have self serve machines as well as cashiers. I go to a drive-thru at McDonald's almost daily on my way into work, and after I finish at the payment window, the employee is always waiting for ME at the next window, waiting to hand me my coffee, BEFORE I even get there. Fantastic customer service. As well, I find the McDonald's coffee cups far better than Tim's, they are double-walled and so don't require you to request a sleeve or extra cup to prevent your fingers from burning, the lids also never leak, because they do not sit flat across the top of the coffee, they have depth. On top of that, their coffee cups come with stickers that you collect to redeem a free McCafe beverage. I'm really not sure why they haven't put Tim's out of business yet - I certainly won't be going to Tim's anymore, even for "roll up the rim". Poor quality, poor customer service,...
Read moreTotal disaster in there. Stopped by to grab a bagel with a coffee. I ordered through the kiosk. I put my name on the order. Then waited patiently for my order at the pickup table/desk. The person making the bagle didn't announce my name. They just said bagle with cream cheese. There were 5 other people standing around waiting for their orders. While waiting 2 of those people waiting grabbed it thinking it was their order. One guy walked from paying to the pickup, grabbed the bagle. Realized it wasn't his and walked out ( not clear if they even knew what they ordered) another 2 did the same thing. Then realized it wasn't theirs after having to ask the person making the sandwiches out it back. When the coffee finally came they said medium coffee.. No name.. We are in Tim Hortons.. Everyone is getting coffee... Is it too much to say the person's name with the order or the order number. I could see from the order screen they get all that information. I asked if that was my coffee, using my name. The person making the sandwiches said yes. I asked why couldn't they announce the name with the order so I didn't have 3 different people handle my food before me. God knows where their hands have been. I tossed the bagle..I told them to get organized you are running a business and left.. Thanks Tim Hortons. I understand now why Starbucks outnumber Tim Hortons in Oshawa...
Read moreToday (July 16, 2025), I spent nearly $30 at this Tim Hortons, and it was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had at any Tim Hortons location. The drinks were absolutely terrible—no effort was made in preparing them properly, and they tasted nothing like they should.
I asked for a plain croissant toasted with butter, and instead of toasting it, they just slapped cold butter inside and handed it over. I ordered the egg white spinach, and they didn’t even give me a fork, napkins, or salt—basic essentials for takeout.
On top of that, the staff working the drive-through had an awful attitude. Their energy was rude, cold, and unprofessional, giving dirty looks and acting like customers are a bother. No straw was included for the drinks either.
This was hands down the most disappointing Tim Hortons experience I’ve had. The customer service needs serious improvement, and the food quality control needs to be addressed immediately. Very...
