We just visited this newly opened restaurant yesterday! It is located right opposite the Go Station, and has parking as well. The place is clean and the Owners/staff are very warm and congenial. They also have baby/toddler seats to accommodate the kids.
We had the Stuffed Jalapeno Peppers, and Manchurian for apps, Naan, Tandoori Roti, Raita, Palak Kofta, Shahi Paneer, Kashmiri Rice for the main course, and Ras Malai for dessert.
It was absolutely terrific - every single item. It was fresh, tasty, mild (upon request). I had to ask about the Chef's experience because one could tell that there was an experienced chef in the kitchen. The scrumptious food gave it away. We have tried many restaurants over the past 2 decades all over the GTA. and I think I have a new favorite restaurant. If you are reading this review - you owe yourself the treat at this restaurant. (!)
It is also really really well priced and the serving sizes are generous. Everything was fresh, and customized, and the ambience was welcoming. This is going to be a new hot spot for Indian food lovers in Stouffville. A win for the town for sure!
Once again it was all great, and the palak kofta was a real surprise! So, the question is, do I try all these favorites again next time, or do I venture into trying new dishes...?
The only element I wasn't fond of was that the Naan has eggs in it. So if you have an allergy or dietary restriction, stick to the roti.
Bon Appetit (And best compliments to the...
Read moreIf we could give Chilli Coriander 10 stars, we absolutely would! They catered the vegetarian dinner for our wedding and exceeded every expectation we had. From the initial planning to the final bite, everything was flawless. The team was professional, courteous, and so easy to work with. They made sure every detail was handled with care and precision. The setup on the wedding day was organized, elegant, and done right on time. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing we were in such capable hands.
Now let’s talk about the food..it was absolutely incredible. Guests were talking about it even days after. Every dish was hot, fresh, and bursting with flavour. The paneer lababdar was rich and perfectly spiced. The dal makhani was creamy and comforting..the best we’ve ever had. The chana masala had the perfect balance of tang and warmth. The pakoras were fresh, crispy..and the mung dal halwa was the perfect sweet finish, warm, melt-in-your-mouth, and not overly sweet.
Chilli Coriander didn’t just provide food, they created a memorable dining experience for us and all our guests. It was clear that everything was prepared with love and skill. The variety, taste, and presentation were simply outstanding. We are BEYOND grateful for the role they played in our special day. If you’re looking for a caterer (or even some place to eat FANTASTIC indian food) who truly cares and delivers excellence, Chilli Coriander is it. We would recommend them again and again...
Read moreI would give Service 10 stars if I could. My family and I have eaten here a few times now 5 or more. each experience has been packed with unbelievably flavourful food. Our youngest son eats like a machine and loved everything he was served. Butter chicken poutine, Cheese naan and a nibble from my wife or mine dishes.
Our older son, a little more picky. enjoyed the chicken samosas, spring rolls, cheese naan as well! They do offer a WIDE variety of options but here is the most important part: The staff is kind, patient and there to serve an unbelievable experience! The other night I watched an interaction with another diner, where the staff explained and answered every single question!
I can't say enough about this establishment. The small dining area is intimate and perfect for a low-key dining experience. Affordability is also tops: when orders from fast food establishments for a family of 4 can quickly hit 60-80.00. A similar amount will get you a TON of amazing HOME MADE food! Please go check out their social media as they have some great content that shows how much love and care goes into the wonderful food!
As a spice-lightweight. I will say that the heat is real on some dishes. however the staff will very kindly explain what to avoid if you ask. Or make recommendations on how to cut down the heat on some of the hotter dishes! thats all folks, Please go support this amazing...
