Pimento Jerk Kitchen delivers an unforgettable dining experience that blends rich Caribbean flavours with comfort and soul. I had the pleasure of trying a variety of dishes, and every bite confirmed that this spot deserves a solid five out of five rating.

The braised oxtail was fall-off-the-bone tender, slow-cooked to perfection, and packed with deep, savoury flavour. It was rich and hearty and felt like true comfort food. The BBQ fried chicken was another standout—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and coated in a smoky-sweet BBQ glaze that hit all the right notes.

The garlic mashed potatoes were creamy and smooth, with just the right amount of garlic to enhance every bite. The dumplings were soft, warm, and satisfying—perfect for soaking up sauces. The plantain, while not sweet, had a nice firmness and slight char that gave it a subtle, earthy flavour. It balanced well with the rest of the plate without overpowering it.

The meal started with a bowl of chicken vegetable soup, which was well-seasoned, soothing, and full of tender meat and vegetables—a great way to warm up and prepare the palate.

Every dish was clearly made with care, and the portions were generous. The service was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience feel welcoming and enjoyable.

Where in this world can I even start?! Pimento Jerk Chicken was immaculate, from the food to service. The lady with red hair, glasses that were in the shape of an upside down trapezoid, with gold and clear, leggings, luscious lashes and rhinestone nails she was an outstanding server, very kind, welcoming, even took song requests. She was so incredibly patient when we couldn’t decide on what to order and even cracked hilly billy jokes with us! Now the 5’’7, curly hair boy with nice shoes, while he only popped his head out and handed us food, his food was mind blowing. From the moment the food was put down our mouths were watering from the smell. That boy is a beast of a cook, in a toe curling-ly good way. He is not an opp. Lastly, We would like to mention the tall, light skin boy, with braids, a hat PLACED on his head, and pearly white teeth. He is a gem in itself. He is a BOP but not an tiktok bop, a fun bop! He also cracked amazing jokes and ensured our food was beyond the standard. He also assisted the server in bringing us water on three different accounts. Now while I do not doubt that there were multiple other people assisting with our experience to make it as amazing as it was, these were the people that were in the front lines and stood out. Update: since ordering a couple more times ..same inconsistent issues with the sides ordered vs. what is sent still exist. Please do not offer a variety of sides if you cannot deliver on them consistently. It's been the coleslaw mostly but tonight it was the rice. I ordered rice & peas and was sent white rice ..two very different things. The corn bread was as hard as a hockey puck. This unfortunately is my last order.

Original review: I've ordered delivery from here 3 times in the past month or so, jerk chicken traditional with rice & peas, coleslaw and cornbread. My first and third order the jerk chicken was fantastic ..but there has been noticeable and annoying inconsistencies with every order.

1st order my side coleslaw was not sent; 2nd order was dry and old and what appeared to be jackfruit mixed in with my chicken, the rice and cornbread wasn't very tasty; 3rd order I chose herbed kaleslaw and was sent regular coleslaw, corn bread still not as good as my first order.

I don't mind paying a higher price for a great quality meal I can count on, but it's not worth it if quality and consistency is not maintained. I hope the restaurant will work to improve these areas, as I wish you...
