We will Never be eating here again. I only give this a one star for the window service. My boyfriend came to this location to get a bite to eat... ate one piece and started to feel funny a couple mins later. He thought maybe it was because he was just hungry. A few mins later, he started to munch on the second piece of chicken...and smelt something kind of Sour. He said it tasted weird, however, it was late and he was hungry. He took one more bite and realized the chicken was the source of the smell. He immediately stopped eating the chicken and just chowed on some fries. Going back wasn't an option.. He was on the highway at this point! Later that night he started to get an upset stomach and had to use the washroom more than normal. And it's all down hill from there. HE GOT FOOD POISONING... fantastic...
Called the store... no one answered the phone... but of course.
They're selling sour, refried chicken ... he hadn't eaten anything else for the day.. so couldn't have been something else.... absolutely NOT amused and extremely disappointed.
I hope the health inspectors catch this. Especially if its a normal practice for them to sell expired chicken to make more money. For a company like this! Unbelievable
Hopefully no one else has this experience... but we, and all of our assosiations will never come back to eat from this...
Read moreI went to Popeyes Stouffville today to buy a family meal, and it turned into a nightmare. While eating, my daughter discovered her chicken strip was raw in the middle, with visible blood. Absolutely unacceptable — serving undercooked chicken is a serious health risk.
My kids were disgusted and felt sick immediately. When I approached the counter to request a refund, I was told they would only refund part of my payment because “we had eaten some of the food.” Of course we did — we only discovered it was raw after biting into it!
I asked to speak with the manager, and a man came out from the back speaking to me in an incredibly rude and disrespectful way, even calling me impolite. Instead of apologizing for serving unsafe food, he argued and tried to deny a full refund. I had to insist and remind them of their own policy before he reluctantly returned my money.
This was completely unprofessional, unsafe, and unacceptable. Raw chicken can cause serious illness. My family could have been harmed. I will never return to this location again, and I strongly warn others to be careful.
I am writing a formal complaint...
Read moreI went to Popeye's in Stouffville yesterday July 30 2024. It was lunch time and this place that is supposed to be a "fast food" restaurant had no mild chicken ready. I had to wait 45 minutes for 4 pieces of chicken and boneless chicken wings which were to have the sauce on the side but when I got them they were covered in sauce. They asked me if I wanted to wait another 15 to 20 minutes. The so called Manager of this store refused to give me her name and the Franchise owner is no where to be found in either the Stouffville store or the Markham store. You would think they would want business but I guess this franchise owner makes enough money that he really does not care. He has yet to call me and it has been two days. I will go to Mary Brown's in Uxbridge or Popeye's on Highway 7. He does not own that store. It really does not matter what you order or when you order it you could probably kill a chicken and cook it yourself in the time it takes then to get you order ready and I agree they need a complete overhaul of staff from...
