4.50 for an Americano? Usually two shots everywhere else but here it’s $3 for one shot and add another for $1.50. Huh? Plus their other location serves it for less.

Someone used the word gourmet to describe the food here. I’m pretty sure that individual has never had gourmet food.

The prices are very high considering you can purchase the same types of food, at places with experienced staff who will offer great customer service and efficient service, in a timely manner with food that is cooked by experienced cooks. I can get the same meal, flawlessly at a restaurant that knows what they’re doing. Here it’s like being in a cooking school, where everyone is brand new. It also looks really cheap, poor decor. If the place operates like a normal business in terms of quality expectations, I’d be fine with the prices.

Today I had eggs that weren’t cooked properly, at a dirty table. The eggs were taken back and cooked but differently than I’d requested. I was handed a new napkin that was dirty.

I think they need management with experienced running a successful restaurant. They staff also seem bombarded with take out orders that they’re too busy to offer better service to the tables.

It angers me that the business seems to be surviving off obligatory meal plans by students in residence. Being forced to pay prices that anywhere else offer a standard level of service, and getting much less, is exploiting students.

Being the most sustainable restaurant in Canada is great, forcing students to patronize your business so you can achieve it is not great. I question the sustainability of this business when they rely on mandatory clientele. Perhaps becoming a cooking school and offering customers the option of eating there would be better for all involved. Elements probably has the best food on the University of Winnipeg campus but that is not saying much. The food is here is of decent quality but it is very inconsistent. It is also incredibly expensive. Way over priced, especially for what is supposed to be University Food hall food. The service is ok, they are often nice and quick to take your order but you have to wait incredibly long for your food. I have waited nearly 30 minutes for a burger with 2 other people in the restaurant. I feel like sometime they forget their job is to serve food. The atmosphere is better with lots of seating but its pretty average. I am not looking for an overprice faux gourmet meal when I just want chicken tenders after class. Please fire...

i was a resident at the dorms and this is all i ate so i could say my review is pretty accurate. most of the staff are nice if they feel like it and some go out of there way so it’s really 50/50 sometimes but id also just want to go home too if i worked here so i dont blame them. if you want to wait at least 30-40 minutes everytime you get food this is the place to be. beside the longs waits most of the time, the food is alright and im saying alright because i was technically forced to eat here so my meal card money didnt go to waste. it depends on what you get but for the price most of it is a rip off and im saying that even though i had a meal card with...
