Shaba Thai Cuisine — Restaurant in Winnipeg

Shaba Thai has completely captured my heart (and taste buds)! From start to finish, our experience with this incredible restaurant was nothing short of spectacular.

We ordered takeout and were blown away by the quality, care, and flavors that came with each dish. The Beef Pad Thai was an absolute revelation…. every bite was perfectly balanced, bursting with vibrant flavors and textures. It’s easily the best I’ve had in the city, if not ever.

The Tom Kha Soup and Tom Yum Soup were in a league of their own. These soups aren’t just food; they’re experiences. The depth of flavor in each spoonful warmed the soul, with a perfect blend of comforting richness and tangy brightness. I genuinely believe they might be some of the best soups I’ve ever had in my life.

The summer rice rolls were so fresh, light, and beautifully presented, and the accompanying peanut sauce was the perfect complement—creamy, nutty, and packed with flavor.

Not only was the food unforgettable, but the service was just as impressive. The person who handled our pickup order was so kind, welcoming, and attentive, making the entire process seamless and enjoyable. It’s clear that this restaurant values their customers as much as their craft, and that extra care shines through in every detail.

Shaba Thai is, without question, one of my absolute favorite Thai restaurants in the city. You’ve set a standard that’s second to none, and your passion for what you do is evident in every dish you serve.

The food was mediocre, not a great place to dine in. They had only a few seats, and whenever somebody opens the door, the cold outside air would come rushing in. Its the service that was bad, i guess it was rush hour and there were lots of delivery orders, but it took forever to get our meal, and when it did it came out, like 5 to 8 min at a time.

When it was finally time for everybody to start eating, cause we eat as a family, it took like an hour, and the worst part about it, after all the food was out, so each person had their food sitting in front of them, and the soup was in the middle, we didnt have our forks, spoon, and soup spoons or anything to use! I was waiting for them to notice, and finally I gave up and asked them.

If you cant serve the food all at the same time, please dont serve each one at a time and wait for the other one to get cooked and serve it! Cause you'll have customers waiting and looking at their food and waiting!

Paid $91 CAN for 4 entrees 5 samosas, and 5 salad rolls. Which I think was too much! For a restaurant that doesn't have a bathroom, and a pad thai's that has half...

Ok so this little nook packs huge on generousity, pleasant customer service and exceptional food. We ordered a full course and had to go home with lunch for tomorrow, the Boba tea is candy which is honestly how it should taste and I will be coming here more even though I'm like bahn mi kings biggest fan!. You are a hard working crew in there and I appreciate that!
