Been going to this place for 7 years I wont lie I love the place and the food. I've always found the staff snappy and rude the little hunchback fella and his mom or whoever the older lady is.. I've never let it bug me.. they are just a greasy bunch..I can look past that. Peggers are generally a nasty lot to begin with. Now they have some moronic hood rat brat working there.. a real nasty little skeezy guttersnipe. I really hope shes family and thats the reason shes kept around not the other reason I can think of. Anyhow I've never been talked to so rude and paid for it in my life.. tried to look past it. Then I called to place an order for pickup and my god WHAT A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. It was literally painful dealing with that brat, I told her off and hung up. This is what you think of your customers? you subject them to some moronic loud mouthed hood rat twerp? First impressions are everything arent they? I will never order there again, theres a new burger place up the way I'm going there now. They wont be so comfortable treating customers like garbage by hiring morons seeing how they dont have a fanboy following yet. Never did like the fries here anyway, cut too thick and underdone...
Read moreWe don't go out much to eat, but in these times, if we do, we will try to support our local establishments, rather than the big chains. Georges on Ness has been my go-to for years for a great burger/fries at a reasonable cost. Lately, I've been calling in our orders for pick-up, so 1) the restaurant doesn't lose any margin to the delivery services, and 2) the food is as warm as possible. Unfortunately, the 2nd point hasn't been working out lately. The last three times we've picked up orders from this location, the fries have not been warm at all and we've had to re-heat everything once we got home (5 minutes away). Last night, I made a point of asking that the fries be hot, and was told that if I added 5 minutes to the order time, they'd be sure to cook them up fresh. I picked them up on time (20 min's later, as instructed).... and they were barely warm; so I returned them and waited for them to cook a fresh batch. Got home and discovered that the (large) portions of fish from the fish & chips dinner had obviously just been dropped in the deep fryer and re-heated, instead of cooked fresh - the batter and meat were tough and the pieces extra greasy. Read moreNormally I don’t leave reviews, but my most recent visit here will probably be my last due to customer experience. I was waiting with a coworker for our food, and the lady at the register called him up to grab his. Shortly after she looked RIGHT AT ME, and said my food was ready, and handed it to me. Once I got back to work, I realized that she handed me the wrong order. So I called them to tell them, and that I d be back to pick up the right one. Her response was ‘that’s cause you grabbed the wrong order’.. Once I got in the restaurant, her and kitchen staff were waiting at the front counter and were quick to blame me for screwing up the all the orders after me and that he had to remake all of them. Which tells me she obviously wasn’t checking what orders she was giving out if me grabbing the wrong order screws up the rest.. yet I was at fault for HER honest mistake. Anyways after that uncomfortable and unnecessary experience, this location has lost a life time customer. I hope, especially during times like these, they learn to take more responsibility and treat the customers who are keeping them open with respect and that no customer after me should have to...
