First time at Le Croissant and it was understandably busy for a Saturday morning. I was planning on meeting a friend for dine in, so I ordered a plate. With that being said, a business, no matter how busy should not sacrifice customer service when meeting the demands of a busy day. From the moment I walked in, I was not greeted, not directed on where to stand to wait for my order, and then after waiting several minutes seeing multiple orders passed on to customers, I decided to ask where my order was. The staff member had said she would put my order on a plate, but after waiting for a long time and no tables available, I asked for a to go box. Shortly after a staff member passed a box to me. When I left the building I opened the box and the order was wrong. When I went back inside to tell the staff member, she said that the order was called a few seconds ago, probably once I left the building with the wrong order. This type of confusion for the customer was unfortunate, and although mistakes like this can happen, this could have been easily avoided had there been prompt, clear, and courteous service and recognition that a customer was there for the first time. No matter how busy a business is, clear and pleasant communication is necessary for first time guests and if you want repeat business make your guests feel valued and appreciated for standing in line and help them out when the mistake is made on your end in order for them to...
Read moreI can say that I am a regular customer of this establishment, when I first tried pastries and coffee here, I was very pleased with both the food and the service. But unfortunately, all good things do not last long. Whenever I come to the establishment, the floor and tables are always dirty, the place where they put dirty dishes and garbage is overflowing. Due to the influx of customers, there is often nowhere to even sit! From the staff, you can note 1-2 people who really try to make your experience pleasant. Well, the last thing that completely disappointed me is that I came with my friend and her small dog (a Chihuahua puppy), who was wrapped in a blanket and sat quietly in her arms (this is how it would have been until the end), we were almost brazenly shown the door. It is worth noting that only one adult woman was aggressively disposed, perhaps she was the manager. After we picked up our order we stayed a little longer inside, stood at the end of the hall to wait for the car to come and pick us up, we didn't even sit down or drink coffee, we just waited, and this woman came up to us again and said that we could stay no more than 5 minutes inside, to which we replied that they would pick us up now and in general they don't have any signs on the door or anywhere prohibiting entry with animals, to which she couldn't give any intelligible answer. It was very rude! A...
Read moreWe stumbled into this beautiful cafe and loved it. It’s a (not-so) hidden gem 💎 We got variations of the croissants which were delicioso!*
The fresh flowers by the window were such a soft but endearing touch. The floor-to-ceiling window welcomes you to sit and people-watch or chat with a friend or reflect on your own thoughts. Quite lovely a place.
A few pointers though: Croissants are yummy when they are cold but for some of us out here in the big wild world, we love our croissants warm and I dare say, they’re even nicer when they are warm. The inside of the toaster oven here was apparently too small in height to warm up the large croissant without burning the top of it. Sadly, the croissant had to be warmed up in my mouth. It might be possible to have an alternative option or equipment to warm up large croissants? I wonder.
The standard of cleanliness at the time we visited can be amped upppp upppp upppp. Especially when it’s so busy and customers are plowing through crusty bread, things can get messy really fast and there’s not that many seats. It is important for the team to be on top of cleaning 🧹 quickly❤️
Aside from this - we loved this place and wish we could have...
