Stadium Kitchen + Bar — Restaurant in Winnipeg

We are staying at the hotel and ordered dinner for our family from the Park Avenue Family Restaurant. First, we were grateful that they were very accommodating to special requests to alter the dishes to our needs, and the people we interacted with were wonderfully polite, professional, and personable. However, the food was over priced and tasted very badly. The steak was lacking and sinewy, for $50, the rib sandwich was disgusting and each person who tried it found it inedible, from weird taste to awful soggy texture, and the noodles (our altered dish to remove spice) had such an off-putting sauce that it was also inedible, with a strange bitter after taste that made each of us sour to the dish completely. Finding a restaurant for a family outing with a fussy eater in the midst is challenging at best. I would say outside of staying at the hotel this place is in, I probably wouldn't have given this place much attention. As fate would have it, the cosmos intervened and boy, was I pleasantly surprised. It was a Friday night, the place was buzzing with guests taking in the bomber game in the lounge. Don’t come here if you don’t have hours to sit and wait for your food. Came at 3:00, were the only people in the restaurant and still waited over a hour for nachos. Which also came out with topping I asked to have taken off, and missing the 6 dollar beef add on I ordered. Waste of time for mediocre food won’t be coming here again, and most definitely would not recommend…go to Santa Lucia for GOOD food (especially nachos). Also waited an additional 30 minutes after done eating for the debit machine after we got the bill AND asked for the machine.
