Restaurante Maracuja — Restaurant in undefined

When the best thing about a restaurant is looking forward to writing the review you know it's been interesting.

We ordered cocktails and a bottle of wine, starters and mains. The starters arrived first, 45 mins after we arrived, followed by the mains. We asked multiple times for the wine to be brought at that point. In the end I had to go in and make sure it was the next thing she did so we actually had something to drink with our food. The cocktails were cancelled.

In the end the food was pretty good, my grilled octopus was perfectly done, although my partner's tuna was overdone.

I just don't know many restaurants that aren't aware that you need to bring drinks ASAP, as then even if the food is delayed the customer might buy more drinks.

Several other tables gave up and left in exasperation before or after ordering. Worse was a reserved table of 12 that turned up to find that the staff had taken orders from other people sat at their table.

To be fair to the restaurant they also had to deal with a woman that turned up with a horde of kids and a bunch of tupperware, and caused chaos asking for takeaway.

It may have been a bad night for them, but just don't expect a fast meal. It might a least be tasty if...

I will leave 2 stars because the food wasnt bad Although Service is a complete disaster. Take more than one hour to bring the food, then it wasnt the plate I've ordered... I told them and waitress reply it was! Really?... I can understand you have a bad day and make it wrong sometimes, I wasnt even going to protest since I was too hungry after the waiting... But honestly I know what I asked for... Not enough, I asked the bill, wait for 20 minutes and tired of waiting have to go inside for paying... After of course wait again.... I think there are much better options both for food and (for sure)...

Maracuja is a fine restaurant, but only when you have plenty of time. Waiting 60/75 minutes for your meal on a quiet day seems standard, however not our standard. With only 3 tables occupied, we gave up when after 75 minutes there was still no food on the table. We dont mind to wait, but this was ridiculous. Our first attempt when we got our food after 60 minutes and it was fresh and good, hence returning...
