Taste Buds — Restaurant in Propose Queens Jubilee City Limit (Study Area)

I wanted to give a 3.5. This spot is just okay but it seems like on this island it may be better than most other indigenous food spots. So taking all that into account. I give it a reluctant 4 stars.

The line system is typical for a spot like this, you walk in and get it how you live basically just get to the lady to tell her what you want. Don't sit back and expect a line to form or someone to call for you. Assert yourself.

I got the curry goat with rice and beans and lettuce and tomato sans tomato. (lady serving said tomatoes were supposed to be in it)

Curry goat was SPICY. If you like spicy food then you'll be OK. If not, have water, milk something handy to drink! Rice and beans were okay, curry goat tasty okay. Nothing to write home about I'd say. I've had better curry goat (not as spicy too) in New York.

Inside the spot was dark and I'm assuming their AC doesn't work because of the huge fan that was blowing. Dark enough inside to where when I walked back outside, I HAD to have shades on. Such a stark...

I wish I could give 2.5. Would have been at least a 4 if the customer service and policies weren’t so weird. The food is pretty good and prices are reasonable. They give a rewards card and won’t combine multiple ones. Although many other restaurants on island do that to be fair to their customers. They aren’t fair. Tend to not listen to directions or constructive feedback. Tend to serve you the food however they want even though you will ask for it to be served a particular way. The short lady with the crooked thumbs and gold jewelry has the nastiest attitude and her mom/daughter that deliver and serve food are nice but they have a hard time following instructions as well. Nothing to complain about. Very tasty local food at reasonable prices - clearly popular as they were packed at lunch. Easy ordering with fast, immediate service. We got the stewed pork and curry goat with sides of rice and peas and cole slaw. Both mains were extremely flavourful and delicious. Huge portions for the prices.
