Overall, Waffle Monkey is actually a pretty decent place to go out for breakfast. The food, at least from what I tried, was pretty good and they offer a very wide variety of waffles for you to try, ranging from waffles topped with mangos, bananas, honey, coconut, and many other things. They also offer a wide variety of sides for you to try, like bacon and scrambled eggs, along with a variety of smoothies and milkshakes. The food also got served at my table very quickly despite taking 8 orders. The waiter was incredibly kind and polite to my family. The main drawback with the food is that the menu would really benefit from having more savory breakfast items. Pancakes would be a good addition to the menu as well. The smoothies had the right amount of sweetness but I think the smoothies would really benefit from being more creamy. Creaminess in smoothies actually helps make them more hydrating in my opinion. The waffles had just the right amount of topping but I think the waffles would be perfect if they were fluffier, as that would combine better with fruit such as bananas and it would make the waffles easier to eat. The scrambled eggs were cooked really well but the scrambled eggs tasted a bit flavorless without any cheese or salt. Spices such as hot sauce would be a great addition to add to tables for people to add to their meals, as they work very well with dishes such as scrambled eggs. I also think that this place would benefit from more space for people to eat, as way more people could be served at once. I'd definitely recommend this place for people who are looking for something sweet to eat for breakfast, with its variety of waffle dishes that suit many different people's...

I recently visited Waffle Monkey for brunch and found the overall experience to be decent. The vibe was quite nice, featuring a colourful and clean environment that created a fun and inviting atmosphere. The staff were very friendly, adding to the pleasant experience.

My partner and I ordered the Big Breakfast waffle and the Chicken with Waffle. Both dishes were okay, but not exceptional. Unfortunately, the chicken in the Chicken with Waffle was overcooked, resulting in a very hard and excessively crunchy batter. It detracted from the overall enjoyment of the dish.

In conclusion, I would give Waffle Monkey a solid 3 out of 5 stars. While the atmosphere and service were commendable, the food quality could have been better. I would recommend visiting at a quieter time, when the kitchen staff may have more time and focus to devote to preparing the food to perfection. If you're a waffle lover, it's worth giving Waffle Monkey a try, but just be prepared for the possibility of some inconsistency...

I was looking for a coffee shop/ breakfast spot, with a view of the water, where I could sit and work on some things for work. My stepmother recommended Waffle Monkey, said her daughter (my stepsister) would come here to work on schoolwork. The Cafe has a small patio with 6 or so tables, and an Indoor dining area similarly sized. I decided to order an espresso and one of their sausage and egg "Baps", which I later found out was a breakfast sandwich. I also requested hot sauce for it. The sandwich was great. It has soft bread, the eggs were cooked well, and the sausage ended up being actual links, cut in half, lengthwise. I decided to dip the sandwich in the hot sauce and wow. I have to say, I am glad that I came here and will return again. It's a great spot, with delicious food and a view of the water. If I had only 1 complaint, it's that the wifi signal isn't super strong on the patio, but that's easily forgiven with everything else that's good...

This was my gluten free wife’s favorite place. We stopped here twice (in one day)…once for breakfast before the visiting the Turtle Center and once after for a dessert. The breakfast was a shared waffle bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich and the dessert was the Churro waffle with caramel dipping sauce. Both were great and the staff new all about gluten and what we could and could not have. We were there at the end of the day and the lady even gave us some leftovers also which I finished off the next day. Note all prices were in Cayman dollars. As of this writing the exchange was $1CI = $1.25US. Thus, you will pay more than the menu prices if you pay in US dollars. Also note that most places in the Caymans add a gratuity of around 15% which is shared among the entire staff. You then can add or not depending on your situation to be given directly to your server.
