From the many restaurants that we ate at during our stay here at the Cayman Island, this restaurant was by far one of our favorites. The food was phenomenal and everything was bursting with freshness. To start off we got the Spicy Soco Shrimp and the Drunkin Rum shrimp, both were very good. I also got their Zucchini Soup that has more of a creamy texture to it and it was delicious. For our main dish my husband, son and I all ordered Snapper with a variety of sides. The fish was fresh from that day, packed with flavor and perfectly cooked with just enough moisture. The same freshness carried over into the sides ranging from the plantains to the salad with mango and their signature mango dressing. The salad was very light and refreshing. My daughter and her friend ordered the Local Rum BBQ chicken and they said that it was cooked very well and the BBQ sauce was remarkable. We topped off our meal with Mango Cheesecake. I was a little weary since cheesecake can be a hit or miss but this one was delicious. It was light, fluffy and not too sweet. Luigi (the owner) was able to give us his undivided attention and accommodate to our many different needs because we have some picky eaters in the family. He made sure to check up on us to see if we were enjoying our food and even shared some of his knowledge about the island. Luigi gave us a whole list of activities and events to do during the day and night, as well as other restaurants and bars that we had to visit while on our visit. Overall great food, right one the waterfront. It was easy to kick back, relax and enjoy the breeze as you overlooked the water.

Love love love this place! I did my research and this was the hidden gem I was looking for. Local food & a beautiful view on the outdoor patio. The smell of jerk chicken being cooked on a grill hits you as soon as you walk in! We ordered a ton of food just to try a little of everything. One friend has a shellfish allergy but wanted the taste of the island so we tried the coconut ceviche AMAZING! They have a ton of vegan options. I had the oxtail which was delicious & so was the Rasta pasta. The star of the show were the spicy margaritas garnished with fresh scotch bonnets (not for the faint of heart) I’d say we had about 3-4 each…Can’t wait to go back so much more I’d like to try including the conch stew which sadly they were out of :( Definitely recommend but only if you’re not in a rush remember everyone is laid back, relaxed & on island time so expect to spend an hour or 2 depending on party size & number or plates.

Came here for lunch before heading to the airport. It's right next to the cruise port which made it easy to grab a cab when we were done dining. We sat in an elevated area near the bar. Before seating is the host asked where we would like to sit and when we pointed to the elevated balcony area he said that was fine but didn't follow us with menus or inform us that we would need to order from the bar. I quickly figured it out on my own and grabbed menus from the bar. The rest of the experience was lovely. Great view of the water and yummy fish tacos. All the ingredients tasted fresh. The local fish of the day was wahoo which is a nice white, meaty fish. My friend and I each enjoyed a plate of tacos and we shared a side of plantains. I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to return to this place but it's a nice place to stop and grab a bite and/or drink if your already in the area.

Conch fritters we’re amazing!! But staff Wade non communicative and slow. I was on my way back from an excursion and wanted conch fritters but only had 1.5 hours to get back on my ship… should be plenty of time to order conch fritters and eat them, right? Guess again, not at this restaurant. Sign said please wait to be seated so I stood, and stood, and stood. Tens of workers walked by but nobody stopped. Finally as I was about to leave someone came up to seat me. They left and I didn’t see them again for 10 minutes, eventhough I knew what I wanted and placed the menu down away from me on the table to signal I was ready to order. My waiter walked by at least 10 times and never acknowledged me, so finally I stopped him and said I was ready to order. He took my order (cocktail and conch fritters). I waited and waited and waited, finally I looked at him and he said he’d bring me my drink, it had been at least 10 mins. I asked approximately how long the fritters usually take, he said he’ll ask. He never came back and after walking by 10 more times I finally asked him if he found out, he said yes they take 10 mins. Considering it’s already been 5-10 mins since I asked I figured they should be out soon, but decided to give it 10 minutes from now anyways… well not only does 10 minutes go by but 28 more minutes go by before the fritters finally arrive at my table. I’m fact, a table that sat down after me got their fritters first. Soon as the fritters came I asked for the check, had to rush eating and leave. I got the last tender back to my ship barely in time. This place had delicious food and nice atmosphere but cannot recommend at all if you’re looking for anything less than a...

Cayman Cabana Showed Us the Heart of the Island

Cayman Cabana was easily one of the best experiences we had in Grand Cayman — not just for the food and drinks (which were phenomenal), but for how much it reflected the culture and spirit of the island.

From the second we walked in, the place had this laid-back, welcoming vibe with views right over the water. It felt like the perfect mix of local flavor and island energy. The music, the setup, the friendly team — everything just clicked.

But the real standout was Luigi, the owner. This guy lives and breathes Cayman culture. He made us feel like we were part of something special, not just eating at a restaurant, but being welcomed into the community. He talked with us throughout the night, sharing stories and making sure everyone felt at home.

The food was incredible — fresh, bold, and full of local ingredients. You could tell it was all made with care and intention, highlighting what makes Cayman cuisine so unique. The cocktails were just as thoughtful — balanced, refreshing, and perfect for the setting.

And in a move that honestly left us speechless, Luigi personally gave us a ride back to our place at the end of the night. No cab, no hassle — just genuine hospitality from someone who truly goes the extra mile. (he is truly the man)

Cayman Cabana isn’t just a great spot to eat — it’s a place that embodies the island’s warmth, generosity, and pride. If you want to feel connected to Cayman’s roots while enjoying an amazing night out, this is where you go.

Can’t recommend it enough — unforgettable experience...
