After exploring Cartas and viewing the stilt houses, our group of two couples picked this restaurant for lunch based on the reviews. Excellent choice! They serve “almuerzo” style, which is a daily selection of 13 different set lunches for either $6 or $9 dollars per lunch based on the dish. Everything we had was homemade, cooked to order, hot and delicious. We enjoyed four beers, two Chilean bottles of wine (a delicious Cabernet) four entrées, and one shared appetizer (ALOT!) for $26 per couple, including the tip. This is not a tourist restaurant, by 1:30 in the afternoon the restaurant was completely full with locals. Everything is in Spanish, so we had to translate the lunch menus. The service was great and the waitress helpful. Highly recommend for an authentic experience, quality and pricing.
