La Minga Hostel — Hotel in Castro

Good location, very near main square and bus stations.|There usually are one or two volunteers.|Our stay was pleasant.|Bed are confortable and the place is safe.|In general felt very tight. There is only 2 showers/toilet for 18 guests.|Good atmosphere with other guests and volunteers||On one hand our stay was good. On the other end the housekeeping and maintenance of the house is the minimum. And the owner, even if she nice, did seem very motivated. Some examples:|- In one of the shower cold water from the tap is broken, had a string and sellotape all the time.|- Bathroom and kitchen should be cleaner: old empty shampoos and soaps left in the shower for the whole time (there were half dissolved), as well as plenty of hairs blocking the plugs.|- a used disposal shaver was in one shower for the whole time we went there.|- felt a little bit cold in the evening, and the heater is only On at 10 pm.|- one cooker, oven does not work ( has a note stuck on it saying it's broken). Llegamos el primer día de nuestra semana de vacaciones junto mi pareja, reservamos la habitación de cama doble con baño privado. Si bien el hostel se encuentra a dos cuadras de la plaza de armas, el primer problema que tuvimos fue que no tienen estacionamiento. Si tiene habitaciones para más de 40 personas en la hostal (según información entregada por la dueña del hostel) que tenga dos estacionamientos igual es nada para la cantidad de personas. En este punto fue el primer drama que tuvimos y que expreso acá. Si bien en la página dice que hay que consultar disponibilidad, creo que como dueña de un hostel no cuesta nada consultar igualmente cuando se hace la reserva si se va a visitar con vehículo. Pues tuve un trato desagradable, de mal pesar, con alzamiento de voz innecesario ya que solo buscaba una solución para no tener que dejar el vehículo en la calle a costa de que pueda ser robado o dañado. Pues el trato que recibí por no haber leído las condiciones de buena forma me pareció muy mal para una persona que trata con turistas.||En cuanto a la habitación, no es mucho igualmente, las sábanas y el cubrecamas dejan mucho que desear y la ducha tenía un constante problema de agua caliente. De hecho un día "coincidentemente" se les había olvidado prender el Calefont para bañarnos.||En cuanto a la cocina y los espacios común se hacen pequeño para la cantidad de gente que transita más en temporada alta.||Quizás a muchos les interese el estilo de hostel con intercambio de culturas, pero no por eso deben entregar mínimas condiciones como baños compartidos para más personas que corresponde o dar como solución que el vehículo se deje en la calle porque como está la policía a una cuadra no va a pasar nada.||En fin, experiencia mala en cuanto al trato de como...

Location is good near to main square with many convenient access and also public transports. The atmosphere in the hostel is also good. The only downside is that the room on the ground level is too cold even though the heater is on as the doors are not insulated.
