Barrica 94 — Restaurant in Lo Barnechea

………..Located in Patio Bellavista this very nice restaurant is one of the first you encounter on your way in. We came here on a mission to indulge in wine and especial-lii the Chorrillana as we understood that they do serve the best Chorrillana, this is a plate of potato-chips covered with strips of beef, a sauce plus grilled tomatoes and fried-eggs on top (It sort of looks like a mess but the taste isn’t bad at all) As we were a group of family and friends we went with the idea that the Chorrillana be shared between two persons as one each would be way to much food. The service here is very good as is the wine selection. Besides Chorrillana they do serve and offer other cuisine’s typical-lii to Chile and also a host of delicious desserts. The restaurant is quite snazz-ii especial-lii with its fascinating colour-scheme. The walls are charcoal with purple and yellow patterns on the walls, there is also a thought provoking sentence above the bar counter “Donde no hay Vino no hay Amor” Where there’s no Wine there’s no Love! Strange-lii when you enter on the ground floor you have to climb up the stairs to get to the restaurant and bar and yet they do provide outside seating downstairs and along the balcony on the top. FALSE ADVERTISING! they advertise as wine bar, in which case you should be able to taste some wines with no attachment to dinner... when you go with that intention and let the hostess know all you want is wine tasting, they sit you down and only then do they try to guilt you into getting dinner as well because their "patents are for restaurant" so the wine needs to be attached to food?!
