Chill out hotel
I had the most wonderful night at chill out hotel and it made Jaipur seem like the amazing place I had dreamed of.
I was originally booked in another hotel for 2 nights and felt so uncomfortable there that I left after one night and booked chill out. My first day in Jaipur was horrible but changing to this hotel completely changed my experience.
When I arrived I was greeted with a smile and offered a freshly made chai tea which was the best I’ve had so far.
I told the hotel owner I had felt very unsafe travelling as a solo female and had men following me around. He offered to find a Rickshaw for 1000 rupees to take me around all of the sites. I was nervous so he said he would take me himself. He drove me around for 5 hours and he made me feel extremely comfortable and was happy to tell me all he knew about Jaipur.
Once we got back Ajeet invited me to help cook the dinner in the restaurant upstairs and taught me how to cook my favourite curry. He even gave me details on the recipe and we ate together with other guests.
Ajeet made sure to make my stay in the hotel a great one. This hotel deserves so much more credit than it gets. It was hit hard by covid and is no where near as busy as it should be.
The room was just what I needed. Very clean - bathroom seemed as though it had recently been renovated and all necessities (towel, toilet paper etc) was provided. Room had a nice balcony and the roof top restaurant was a lovely place to hang out!
As a solo female traveller I felt 100% safe here and it would be a great vibe for people travelling together also 😊
If I ever came back to Jaipur I would most definitely be...
Read moreI am genuinely confused by the high-rating of this property. There is nothing professional about how this place is run, and this was one of the worst accommodations we stayed at in India. First of all, the rooms are a lot more run down than the photos show. The cleaner allegedly didn't show the day we checked in so the receptionist cleaned the room himself which was less than comforting. We visited the rooftop restaurant for dinner after reading the good reviews, only to find no one there except for staff and mediocre food. The most disappointing part of this stay was the following morning at breakfast, where we arrived to breakfast at 7:30 ahead of a long tour. Breakfast was supposed to start at 7, but when we arrived, they said breakfast wouldn't be available until after 8 because they were running late today. (We have stayed at hundreds of hotels around the world, and have never experienced this before.) When we raised the point that this would interfere with our pick up ahead of a busy tour, they told us to 'delay our pick up and be patient.' Obviously, we did not keep our tour waiting, and ended up not eating until 1pm that day because we did not get the breakfast included in our stay. To top this off, this was one of our more expensive stays on our month in India, and was by far the worst value for our money. Whatever they did before to get their ratings, they clearly aren't doing anymore. Or maybe, they paid for their ratings which seems...
Read more“A very pleasant and memorable experience - Thanks to DAVIDE” We chanced upon the place as we were actually looking for Kalyan rooftop and they were more than full, when we reached had despondent patrons waiting for their orders and surprisingly and honestly were told (though worked well for us) by the gentleman on the counter that we should not go up since it was a long wait and we had passed by Chillout and really loved the ambience and vibe of the place so just went back and what a right decision that was. We were treated well by the staff but royally by DAVID who happened to be visiting from France (apologies if I'm wrong) and taken such good care of. it seemed as if all the food was made by him with Love and personal care. My younger one hit it off with him and he made some special soup for her. he also gave us some extra and much to our absolute despair was toppled by the little girl. No hassle, it was cleared up super quick and some more soup which he had probably kept for himself was offered to us. It was the most heartwarming gesture which made our evening beyond the lovely weather the open rooftop restaurant with delightful decoration some guitar music and singing and the presence of carefree in-house guests. Not sure if the place has a bar licence but we didn't miss it much since the experience of lying down on the Charpoys and looking up to the open sky was quite liberating. A MUST TRY if you happen to be in that...
