Underground Bar — Restaurant in Chengdu

The Underground Bar has become somewhat of an institution in Chengdu. Founded in 2009 by two expatriates (British and Chinese-Malaysian), it is a popular hangout for locals and expats alike. Located in the heart of Chengdu’s bar and club district, the Underground Bar is a haven for people who appreciate fine beers, good cocktails, great friends and an environment that is both welcoming and relaxed. The owners and staff pride themselves on a friendly and excellent service. The Underground Bar was the first foreign-owned bar in Chengdu to introduce over 40 different beers from around the world; and it continues to add to that tally on a very regular basis with lots of ad-hoc specials that will delight even the most discerning of pallets. The Underground Bar has pioneered so many cultural activities in the city including the first and only all-year-round weekly quiz night every Wednesday as well as events from top companies, business chambers, consulates and embassies. The mission of the Underground Bar is nice and simple: bringing people together (no matter where they are from or what background they have) to enjoy great tasting drinks, good friendly company and easy listening music. The Underground Bar is not just a bar, it’s a destination!
