My favourite restaurant in Coloane Village and one of my top places in Macau for Portuguese and Macanese. I particularly like to come here for the African Chicken and Duck Rice, two Macanese dishes which this restaurant has consistently does very well, each time we have dined here over the past few years.
Their African chicken is sweeter than most served in Macau, having a heavy coconut base. This is an interesting take on this famous local dish and it tastes rather good, especially for those who enjoy sweeter flavoured curries. We like to have the African chicken along with the duck rice, which is quite savoury and makes for a nice complimentary serving.
The duck rice serving includes bits of sausage and is layered with a bit of cheese sauce during the baking process, giving it a slightly different taste than what you will find at other Portuguese restaurants around Macau. We rate this version quite well and appreciate that it always very good, each time we dine here.
Sangria at Espaco Lisboa is very friendly, more sweet than sophisticated, it is refreshing on a hot summer day.
They serve dessert at Espaco and we've quite enjoyed their serradura in the past. However, with Lord Stow's just around the corner, we can't help ourselves and usually skip dessert here in favour of the lovely Portuguese tarts you can try from Lord...
Read moreOur family of 6 enjoyed a Thankgiving lunch here. Tucked away in a small side street, near the famous Lord Stow's egg tart bakery, Espaco Lisboa offered a warm and cozy respite from a cold, windy day exploring the village of Coloane. The service was friendly and quick, and every dish tasty and of good proportions, with simple efficient presentation. Although Fernando's is the popular spot in this small corner of Macau, we opted for this place instead, and were very pleased we did so (and our choice was vindicated by the table next to us - true Portuguese who dine here every time they...

Their grilled chicken and African chicken are also very nice. The beef fondue was a fun experience, but not something you'd...
