Read moreThe best egg tarts on the planet. Stumbled on this place while exploring Coloane. I was waiting for a bus and saw Lord Stow's bakery there and decided to go and quickly grab something. I just snuck in and the worker was very happy to help me. At first, I wasn't really thinking that it was anything special because it looks like your run of the mill bakery in HK or Macau. Ordered a few egg tarts and was really shocked how good they were. The crusts are so good and the egg tart custard is just premium and buttery smooth. Now, I make it a point to go out of my way to visit a Lord Stow's if I can. 😂
I have been to several Lord Stow's in HK, Macau, and Japan and all have the same amazing quality and taste. Absolutely the best egg tarts I have ever had. The original Coloane Lord Stow's is still the best...
Read moreord Stow's Garden Cafe is located on the back side of the originally Lord Stow's Bakery in Coloane. This is the largest of there four Lord Stow's venues in the village with a good sized seating section. Opening hours are 9am to 8pm daily.
The Cafe has a full menu so you can have a meal here if you like. Most simply come here for the famous pastel de nata (Portuguese style egg tarts) which are now MOP$10 each. I like to order 2 (or 3 if hungry) to enjoy with an espresso when I stop by the Lord Stow's Garden Cafe. The tarts are the same that come from the original bakery on the other side of the same large property.
Service is timely and overall decent. They can turn the tables over as quickly as possible. If you simply go for tarts and coffee/tea, you can get in our out in...
