美味的泰國菜餐廳 — Restaurant in Hong Kong

Aim Aroi Thai Foods is an intimate, family-run Thai establishment that immediately feels authentic thanks to its Thai ownership. However, space is quite limited. The restaurant operates with a 75-minute time limit for meals, which feels perfectly adequate for lunch but might feel rather rushed for a leisurely dinner experience. The menu impresses with its comprehensive selection of authentic Thai dishes. However, one notable omission is the absence of alcoholic beverages on the menu, which might disappoint those looking to pair their meal with a Thai beer or wine.

The Food: Pad Kra Pao Gai I opted for the Stir fried Thai basil minced pork rice for lunch, which arrived beautifully presented on a blue-rimmed plate.

The pork was expertly prepared with good seasoning, though the spice level was quite mild. The dish would have benefited from a more generous hand with the holy basil, as this herb is truly the star of this signature dish!

The Sunday lunch set includes a complimentary drink, which is excellent value. However, the iced coffee proved disappointing - I think this was made by the Thai instant coffee.

I’d like to add that the service was mediocre. I wouldn’t describe the staff as friendly, but they were definitely not rude.

Would I return? Absolutely. I'm keen to explore their other food in their A la carte menu particularly for dinner (time permitting), to see how their curry dishes and other Thai classics measure up. With such an extensive menu, there's clearly much more...
