Today’s weather was gloomy with light drizzles which is perfect for ramen. Was Looking forward to something hot and soupy and this place was a good choice.

Only 7 mins walk from Cheung Sha Wan MTR Station. The shop front was obscure looking in which we almost walked right passed it.

The shop is small with counter seating only and fits around 10 people. There are hooks below the counter for you to hook you bags.

We arrived on a Saturday around 7:30pm. The wait wasn’t too long. About 15mins — turnover here is pretty quick. There’s only a choice of 3 different types of shrimp base soups :

Oil HK$79 Miso HK$ 89 Tomato $99

Drinks HK$12 (Coke/Sprite)

Topped with ingredients like: charsui (super thinly sliced), bamboo shoots, spring onions and a whole onsen egg which was cooked perfectly ! You can add on extra toppings on avg $12-18/topping

This place service a pretty decent tsukemen. Noodles were cooked just right. The portion was a little too much for me but it’s probably just right for a guy. I would come back or eat here if I was in the area. Worth trying for...

Review based on visit 3rd July 2019

This was my first experience in trying "Tsukemen" - Dip Ramen!! A very, very tiny place!! Basically a hole in the wall type of restaurant. Right next to Mc Donald's.. Only about 6 to 7 people can sit at once on a bar counter. What an experience!! I loved the ambiance of it.. took us briefly to ancient Japan!!

They had about 3 kinds of broth. Shrimp, tomato and miso ( not sure of the 3rd one). I tried the tomato base and the broth was very thick and very flavourful. It was served hot in a bowl and in a separate one they serve the ramen. Ramen too was very thick. You have to pick the ramen and dip it in the broth and then eat.. enjoyed the meal very much and halfway in the meal, I just couldn't handle the dipping thing, specially with the chopsticks !! So dumped all the ramen to the broth and then had it as a regular ramen. Oh it was an experience alright!! Loved the food and enjoyed it a lot!!

I guess I have now completed the Ramen...

Queuing was unnecessary when I arrived ard 7 PM on weekdays. Although I typically prefer soupy noodles, I was pleasantly surprised by the noodles at this place. The shrimp soup was rich and flavorful, and the noodles had a delightful taste. The pork and egg in the dish were also delicious. I tried different soup options, and the shrimp soy sauce soup had a balanced and intense flavor of shrimp and soy sauce. On the other hand, the shrimp miso soup had a distinct shrimp taste that leaned towards shrimp paste. It was interesting to observe such a difference in shrimp flavor between the two soups, possibly due to the soy sauce...
