We trekked for about an hour on the family trail from Yung Shue Wan (榕树湾 Banyan Tree Bay) to Sok Kwu Wan (索罟灣) for seafood lunch :)
We chose this chill local zichar place next to the sea, near the pier because of the higher Google rating and more reasonable prices.
The staff were fluent in English and friendly. Steamed grouper and garlic prawns were fresh and sweet. Claypot spicy eggplant and egg tofu were good too. We ordered the Singapore vermicelli just to see if it was the same, it was Xin Zhou Mi Fen with curry powder and turmeric. Can skip this dish and order fried rice or just plain rice instead. 3 pax 1 fish, 1 prawn, 2 veg 1 bee hoon HKD900+. There is a set meal at about HKD1100+.
The server cut and distributed the fish for us very efficiently. Love the complimentary sweet pineapple and how it was presented. Would have been great if we could have the seaview and breeze without plastic covering but it keeps out the rain, sun and strong wind.
It's a short walk from the restaurant to Pier 2 to take the ferry back to Central. Board then pay with Octopus Card at Central pier.
