Service was a bummer.
It was utter chaos during busy days, as if a surge of customers caught the owner completely off-guard. The restaurant staff were totally disoriented on their own turf. They had no idea what food they served and which ones were missing. They were all hustling around, but got nothing done. Dishes came so slow we could read the frustration from neighbouring tables.
When I asked one of the restaurant staff about missing dishes after waiting for nearly two hours, I was told off with insolence, "everyone has dishes missing!"
We came on a public holiday with booking. As a group of four, we ordered two sets, and ended up only being served enough dishes for one set!
We also had to wait 20 minutes to get our drinks served after ordering (hint: after giving multiple reminders to the owners).

Read moreWas looking for something special and different from all the other seafood places which was housed in a row next to each other.
Glad we made the effort to walk all the way right to the end to find this hidden gem! Tables were placed along the jetty so means you are eating with incredible sea view. We had the best-est salt & pepper squid. So crispy with a light batter and juicy & tender squid inside from the basic spices. We also ordered a steamed grouper and was told it was caught by local fishermen and not reared. The grouper was excellently done leaving you to taste the pure freshness with a light sauce served separately.
To top off the lovely dining experience the service staff was friendly and made us feel very comfortable.
If you are in Sok Kwu Wan do yourself a favour and skip all the other seafood places and walk towards the end to give yourself a true seafood dining experience! Do note they open till 4.30pm on weekdays and 6.30pm...
Read moreGood food...when it finally arrived... We had a great table on the pier and ordered 5 dishes. It took 20 minutes for them to come back and tell us one of the dishes was not available and neither was a close replacement. So, we were down to 4 dishes. Squid arrived and was delicious - excited for next dish! Waited another 15 minutes for next dish - a nice sweet & sour pork. Rice arrived after we finished and then we flagged down the server. She asked if we wanted the check with our last dish nowhere to be seen. We took the check at that point and headed to the ferry. There are other places on the other side of the pier that are equally as fresh and you actually...
