I believe Hong Kong Day Restaurant belongs to Maximi's, the biggest restaurant conglomerate in Hong Kong. The one in Mei Foo is a neighborhood style Chinese restaurant targeting small families (2-4 people). Price is very affordable with comparatively comfortable seating. The menu offers a good choice of set dinners ($168 with 2 dishes and a small clay pot of soup that gives you 4 servings). You can of course order a la carte and the choices are good too. I saw an elderly couple waiting for a table and the staff offered chairs for the couple while they wait. I like restaurant that are considerate to their customers. I was recommanded this place to eat lunch. When I was there it was busy and crowded. The menu serves a lot of traditional Hong Kong style food.
