Jade Garden (Wong Tai Sin) — Restaurant in Kowloon

It has been awhile that i didn't update any reviews. However, this restaurant absolutely worth some reviews. The food is just some typical chinese restaurant. Taste is normal, or in a strict standard, it's below average. Price may consider as fair, but the most awful thing is the service. Tonight, i went to my uncle company annual dinner. I think i have refilled the drinks more times than the waitress. Also, i don't need you to be happy to be serving but would you mind not being so long faced? And not being professional neither. The environment is quite quiet and the food is fine. No signature dishes. One of my concerns is the service. The staff tried to take away some of the discount menus and limited our choices. She just tried to promoted some expensive one to us. She also said that ‘you pay more for what you want’. It seemed that her restaurant was selling low quality for cheaper price. Another thing is while we ordered a set meal for 6 people, she just allocated the soup for 6 only. Though we mentioned that we would like to distribute the soup less on each bowl so that we can have more bowls for 8 of us, as some of us did not eat much, she just gave us the empty bowls and asked us to do it ourselves. Visiting HK and treated my family here because of its location. I used to find restaurants under the Maxim Group offer good quality and service. However this place was a serious disappointment. Servers were hard to find and they were rude and indifferent, and we ended up refilling teapots ourselves. Food was mediocre. I hate ordering from a phone at a $$$ restaurant. We had to send the roasted pork back because of foul taste. I know HK restaurants struggle to find servers after Covid but I didn’t expect a Maxim restaurant offer such poor service.
