Mr. Steak — Restaurant in Kwai Tsing District

We got a table for 2 on a bench, and the bench seat got so much hair on it, the waitress heard we said it’s dirty, she just used the menu to sweep them off but not offer us to change seats.

I myself ordered a pork riblets with roasted spring chicken. The meat themselves were bland, all I could taste was mainly barbecue sauce. Funny thing was we literary when the Tsuen Wan IKEA for dinner yesterday, they didn’t have pork ribs but their roasted chicken costed us $56 and still tasted way better than what we got here, actually seasoned, with pretty good gravy, potato wedges. What a steal for $56! Yet, Mr. Steak, a stake house, starting from around $220 for dinner, even with their semi buffet, the main dish just so so disappointing.

Also, the bowls, plates and cutleries in the buffet area were not completely clean. Not saying that they were dirty, but just found myself picking through quite a few of them to search for one without spots on them.

The steak they serve is a flat steak and it tasted okay, it was also less than 1/2 inch thick, I ordered a medium rare but the steak came medium well to well. I think HK folks prefer more cooked steaks so that is understandable, i just love my steaks medium rare to rare. They need to upgrade the steak to a two inch steak. Grill high heat then Bake. Season as needed. The buffet salad and dessert is good. But beware the special drink is not all you can drink which they really should since it was passion fruit tea, pretty low cost drink. Great service and food was 3 stars, i would bring friends back due to the atmosphere and buffet but no steak recommendation. I think it was a US Steak too, which is sad because this type of steak in the USA is $35 HKD, the sides should be upgraded to Garlic Mash Potatos or salt and pepper red baked potatos. Overall good but would not visit...

poor experience . Placing To Go Order from app ahead. The app informed me that my order was ready to be picked up. So I went there and showed my order no. to the waiter. He said food items were not ready yet. So I waited. During that period, I had asked the waiter to check but he ignored me. However the app showed things were ready. After 30 minutes, the waiter went to the counter and checked all order items there and realized that I had waited for a while so he asked me to show him the order number. Then he said your order items were there. Actually these items had already there over 30 minutes. So i had cold foods when I got back home.

The waiter didn't feel sorry about such bad service.
