A charming little café tucked away in a quaint, European-style street in the heart of Shanghai. The coffee is great, and although the space is small, it has a cozy, chill vibe — perfect for a relaxed weekend break. One small downside: there's no private restroom in the café, so you’ll need to walk about 100 meters to a public restroom down the same street. This entire street used to be a lively bar district, but over the past 10 years, it has transformed into a peaceful area full of laid-back coffee shops. On weekends, it’s a lovely spot to sit and watch the street life, surrounded by parasol trees and charming old buildings that give the neighborhood a calm, nostalgic feel.

Probably the best flat white I had in Shanghai. I went searching for top coffee in the city and this cafe popped up first, which is how I found out about the place. It's small as what others have claimed so unless you are really lucky (or pick a non busy timing), you probably have to take it to go or sit outside. If you need more convincing, I've been to about 5+ cafes during my vacation and this is not the fancy (pay a crazy 10 usd type coffee place) but the coffee is done well (which is all it matters).

The most cute and cozy coffee place you'll find. It so intimate that it fits not more than 8 customers. Coffee is excellent and staff is professional and charming. Truly fits and demonstrates the atmosphere of the neighborhood. Just don't plan of spending a long time sit here.

When searching for the best coffee in Shanghai, this little place came up, and as it was close to the apartment that I had rented out for the week, I quickly hurried over to confirm. I visited every morning after that, because this tiny coffee shop is amazing. The place itself, located in the breezy tree-lined former French Concession, is very small inside and adorably decorated. There are some books available to read, including the expensive and notoriously too-heavy-to-travel-with DK Eyewitness travel guide to Shanghai, which was perfect! The staff is very knowledgeable about coffee and ready to share information with you. Since the place is so tiny, there is extremely limited seating available. To be sure that I'd get a seat, I'd normally go right as they opened. They quickly get quite busy, and it's easy to see why. Delicious coffee, great aesthetic and location, some books, and coffee-expert baristas. Highly...
