Mambo — Restaurant in Shenzhen

An unexpected spot for a Mexican restaurant in SZ. My friend and I were excited for the visit, but were utterly disappointed. The restaurant comes with a tiny open kitchen and a rather small seating areas - tables are placed so close together it felt like we were sharing a table with our neighboring customers.

The open kitchen put on show how unorganized the team in the background was; we waited for almost an hour to get our small order of food. Unsurprisingly, after watching the kitchen closely, the food arrived quite disappointing. For one thing, I had to search for the mango in my Thai prawn and mango tacos...

However, I would give it that the staff was friendly and responsive. The little place was lively ( or too loud to talk, depending on your view, and what other customers you run into...). I just can’t say I’d recommend it, or want to return for...
