Vienna Hotel — Hotel in Shenzhen

I got sewage smell from the toilet of my room which is on 3rd floor. Even worse is that a mosquito was introduced into the room after I opened the window in order to be more airy and get rid of the sewage smell. The consequence is that I couldn't sleep and got a few mosquito bites on my face. I therefore decided to change my room and the hotel kindly allowed. The second room is much better, much more clean and without bad smell. I tried the buffet breakfast too at extra cost RMB28 only. Quite good at such price. We stayed here mainly as it is around the corner from my son’s apartment with plenty of coffee houses and places to eat nearby. Fortunately my Chinese-speaking daughter in law was able to negotiate a room even though web site said they were full - we merely had to wait for a 4th floor room to be cleaned. Very good budget hotel very close to the Hong Kong border (just one MTR station away). The room is decorated nicely, though some of the common areas seem a little dated. Staff very friendly and make best efforts to communicate despite not knowing English. Very easy check in and check out, quick wifi in the room.
