After our bike journey from Sha Tin, we proceeded to the Thai Restaurant in Tai Mei Tuk. The restaurant has plenty of seating and the food is delicious. Pad Thai, Papaya Salad, Curry Mussels, and Butter Naan were among the dishes we ordered. All of the dishes are delicious, and the portions are large. We loved the Mussels since this restaurant knows how to make a delicious curry. (not very salty, not overly watery) The restaurant staff was also quite helpful, as we opted to amend our order (we ordered the wrong item on the menu by accident) and they did not seem to mind and assisted us. This restaurant has a really reasonable price, since we only paid 315 HKD for these four items including a drink. We'll surely return if we're in the area of Tai Mei Tuk.

The service here was respectful and efficient but not the most welcoming. Everything was served under 15 minutes which is surprisingly fast for the amount of food we ordered. The portions however were a bit small in my opinion for the price they charge. The food, although it's not my favourite type of food, had great flavours and the quality of the ingredients were pretty great. Especially their pineapple fried rice, it is nicely presented and the ingredients are quite unique. Even though the dining experience was quite enjoyable, the quality of the food has decreased unfortunately since the last time we were here, which was close to 10 years ago.

Excellent Thai food - super popular venue perfect for a post-hike or bike ride. Authentic Thai food with a good level of spice - definitely recommend the pork mince with basil and the spicy beef noodles - the Som Tum Papaya Salad was delicious and the green beans with shrimp paste were more-ish!! Simple decor and busy atmosphere. Waitress was lovely and spoke great English, but it was very busy, so was running around off her feet. Big bottle if Tsing Tao is HKD$62 which is a little steep, but worth it after a long hike.

Didn't stop by for 3 years, and this visit confirms that I should not come again.

Frankly speaking, the portion, taste are not bad. But the price is pretty high, just like some michelin 3 star restaurant, which you can get same quality with more reasonable price elsewhere.

And one main point for the 2 star rating, is the table service. Only 1 senior staff is providing good service and care what you are doing and provide help proactively wherever it fits. The others just walk pass and not even response when you make requests.

Also, at the end, the staff comes and chase us to leave, so they can get the next round of clients.

Maybe it's me expecting too much with this pricetag…anyway, not a good...

Although it called itself as a Tea House in Chinese, you don't have much choice of tea. Instead it is a Thai food restaurant with close to 30 years of history. I don't know if they are serving genuine Thai food or not, but it is tasty according to my standard. Although it is situated in a relatively remote area in Taipo next to Plover Cove a reservoir, it has been favoured by people who appreciate good food. Weekdays lunch is always full filled with customers driving from far way. On week ends ,one can hardly get a table at peak hours and has wait in ques for an hour or more. The size of the desert is getting smaller nowadays, while price is...
