A while ago I went with a friend to Hong Kong. One day we met one of his old friends at the “Gaia Veggie Shop”, vegetarian restaurant at the Miramall (= Miramar Shopping Centre) in Tsim Sha Tsui. Despite it is a vegetarian restaurant, the menu read like a common restaurant with a lot of meat items. It was unbelievable what one can prepare as vegetarian dishes. We ordered Deep Fried Crispy Intestines, Deep Fried Green Beans, Baked Baguette with Tuna and Avocado, Mango with Avocado & Alfalfa Sprouts Hand Roll, Mushroom pieces cooked with preserved tangerine skin, Soft Shell Crab Roll, Assorted Sashimi (Abalone, Tuna & salmon) and a dish with cold noodles. Later we ordered also a Salad with Crab Roe in a Papaya. The Papaya salad was rather disappointing while all other item tasted quite well. I was most impressed by the by the taste and texture of the salmon sashimi. It looked like and tasted really similar to the real non-vegetarian one. This place is...

Do not recommend.

The food was absolutely not worth it compared to the price point. It was extremely overpriced while the food was nothing like the pictures.

The staffs were also unfriendly and extremely rushed. They started mopping with bleach around our table an hour before closing time. The towel that they used to wiped the tables were also never rinsed in between uses.

Also, this isn't that big of a deal but they didn't return our full change. Although it was only a $1, it is the thought that counts.

The only reason I would recommend is when you plan to splurge on a meal with a non-vegetarian/vegan friend. They have many 'meat' dishes that are good for transition or just to impress...

A cozy restaurant inside Tsuen Wan Plaza with lots of choices and very reasonable prices as expected in this area. The veggie roasted duck isn't the best (some restaurants just do not want to invest in marinating) so go for the dumplings, green veggies (pea-shoots with ginger!) which aren't drenched in oil, the mock beef rolls with a sticky BBQ like sauce, sesame sauce rice sheets. For veggies/vegans this place serves up decent food and an amazing price and have plenty of high protein options. A solid hit! 3-stars because the decor is a touch sterile, very bright and service could do with understanding the...
