Nina Fossil Garden is the only large-scale tree fossil garden in Hong Kong. Covering an area of approximately 80,000 sq ft, this beautifully landscaped space is now home to dozens of amazing examples which lived hundreds of millions of years ago. Both educational and inspiring, some fossils reach lengths up to 25 metres. Their careful installation as natural sculptures amid a living garden allows visitors to witness the dynamic forces of time and nature. Must visit zone to witness tree trunk turn into stone.

There are a total of over 120 fossils, according to the official tour guide. About 15-20 are more prominent exhibits. Many more are sort of "hidden" in the Garden. Join a guided tour if possible, I learned some much more from the guided tour - on the types of fossils, formation, and examine the fossils with magnifying glass. A couple of fossils were slightly damaged by visitors but it is an overall good learning experience.

Nina Park has recently reopened and is a really good! They did a nice job creating a fun, impressive outdoor park and educational centre experience where you can see amazing examples of petrified wood while learning about fossilisation history (how, when and where) including examples from here in Hong Kong. Entry is free and the outdoor park is beautiful as well. Great job.
