Decent Spare Ribs & Potato Salad; Good Service too

Oma’s kitchen is a decent German option by the beach in Park Island....their sausages don’t disappoint either. There are also significant number of other choices for the Mains... so just a few visits probably won’t be enough to sample all the Mains.👍🏻. Having mostly tried the sausages during previous visits, I decided to go for the BBQ SPARE PORK RIBS. They were good and I sure didn’t “spare” them 😍 They came with Potato Rosti which was a bit soft, but overall it was alright (I prefer my rosti to be a bit crispy... but in the end the taste is what matters most).👍🏻

They do the Potato stuff well... which is important for any German Restaurant! Not surprisingly, the Potato Salad and the Fries were pretty good.👍🏻

The CRISPY CHICKEN FINGERS with SPICY DIP & RICE. This was also good but the quantity of the dip needs to be more, given the large portion of the crispy chicken. Other than that, it’s a good dish.

Given the significant number of options for Mains, I’m clearly not done with Oma’s kitchen. Need to visit em’ again soon and try the other Mains...

Decent food, beer is cold, recommend checking your order and bill to make sure you got the right food. Wouldn’t go again.

Not sure if the staff were holiday temps, but service was very lacking, including sneaking in a more expensive dish in the bill.

We ordered a pork chop salad but they gave us a pork knuckle salad but said it was what we ordered. Then they gave us the wrong sausage main - the mixed sausages instead of what we ordered. Never came around to tell us we were eating the wrong one.

They tried to sneakily slug us with the mixed sausage dish ok our bill due to us “eating it”, without apologising or telling us any time during our meal that we had the wrong one.

Taste of the food was good though, so set your expectations and make sure you check your order when it hits the table and...

A German restaurant at the Ma Wan Tung Wan Beach. We ordered German roast chicken and grilled pork chop with fries. The chicken is nice, tender, flavourful and juicy. But the pork chop is mediocre as it's quite tough 😕 Seems it's overcooked. All in all, Oma's Kitchen's quite good. Nice seaview, fairly calm (during weekdays' afternoon), reasonable price. I believe that the view would be fantastic if we come here at night. The only drawback I think of is you may feel hot in summer as it is...
