Il Forno — Restaurant in Bogota, Capital District

On my second visit to Nuestro Bogota, I visited the mall with my girlfriend and cousin. We exclusively came to the mall to have dinner, we looked around and picked iL forno since I’ve had their food in Medellin which was pleasant. I personally ordered a pasta plate with a steak medallion and the steak was excellent, temperature I ordered was on the spot but the pasta was a little on the bland side so were the carrots.

My girlfriend had the lasagna with chicken and mushrooms but the pasta was lose as if someone layered everything while cold and re heated the casserole. Obviously the casserole was super hot but the cheese did not hold the mushroom together everything was lose. I ve had lasagna were the cheese melted everywhere and incorporated itself into everything.

My cousin had a pasta plate with some veggies and she reported that pasta was bland as well.

We then proceeded to order desserts, girlfriend had the arequipe with ice cream melt and she said it was amazing. My cousin had a similar dessert just her was chocolate and she was very happy. I had the Tiramisu which wasnt too bad but never did taste the coffee in it. So far I haven’t really had a good Tiramisu is Colombia but thats OK, its an Italian dessert that I guess they are masters at it. If they change the pasta taste, especially since their menu is so pasta infused i would give them all stars. The service was ok, waiter didn’t really come and check in us and water service was absent. Not sure if it’s a Colombia thing that water is not offered at the table. Terrible experiencia con su servicio al cliente. Se demoraron 2 horas 30 min para un domicilio y el CALL CENTER de MEDELLIN MANEJO TODO CON MENTIRAS E INFORMACION FALSA. 1.En la primera llamada me dieron mal el precio. Y que el domicilio de demoraba de 60 a 80 min. A la hora se comunicaron me dijeron que había un problema con los domicilios y que hasta ahora estaban preparando el pedido y que se demoraba 30 min más en llegar. Pasaron 50 min más. Me comunique nuevamente a cancelar el pedido y me dijeron "el domicilio ya va en va en camino". Vivo en Hayuelos y el pedido salio del CC Nuestro Bogota. En maps decia 8 min en moto de allá hasta acá. Pasaron otros 40 min desde la segunda llamada. Me volví a comunicar decidido a cancelar el pedido. Nuevamente me comunicaron que "ya había salido la orden pero esta vez el domiciliario se había "varado" y por eso no había llegado todavia" se demoraron en la llamada 10 min en comunicarse con con el domiciliario y darme esta info. Adicionalmente me dijeron que me enviaron un postre de cortesía por la demora. Para finalizar llego el domicilio en el momento que estaba en llamada, le pregunte al domiciliario si era verdad que se había varado. Me contestó "NO, me entregaron la orden y de inmediato me dirigí a su direccion" y además no venia ningún postrey la comida estaba fría. NUEVAMENTE TODO LO MENAJARON CON MENTIRAS Y MALA INFORMACION. The service here is amazing because the staff are proffesional and incredibly helpful. There is a wide variety of dishes and drinks. I love the quite atmosphere and rustic brick walls.

I went to Il forno last week with my grandmother because my grandmother hadn't visited the restaurant before so I thought she would love pasta in pesto sauce, and so she did.

IL forno is an ideal italian restaurant to go in family...
