La Biferia — Restaurant in Bogota, Capital District

Really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately it needs some improvement. First off the restaurant is located in a big mall. This isn’t a bad thing just making a statement as I didn’t realize at first. The good part is the food itself is pretty good. The steaks would benefit from a nice finishing salt from the kitchen. As I looked around everyone was adding salt to their food. The table salt did the job, but a nice coarse finishing salt would be more fitting for a steakhouse. My biggest disappointment was the service. Kept having to wave down staff for assistance. They are looking around but not actually looking. A place for meat lovers. Exquisite flavor, well-prepared and really good cuts, with excellent side dishes and a rich variety, and a good option to pair them with wine. The service is excellent, always attentive and friendly, and at the time we went there were several tables available. The atmosphere is pleasant, within what is expected for a shopping center; overall, we really liked it.
