Food is 5 star! I will order takeout from them. Service was not so great. We had to wait downstairs, no big deal. I tried to take a photo of the menu, but was told to take a photo of the QR code.
Rant ATTENTION MANAGERS- GEN X HATES QR CODES! It's laziness on the business side that engages in this practice and more work for us.
Wait time was not bad. The place is large and was loud. It was nicely decorated. I like the bamboo ceiling. Tasteful music played in the background and it was dimly lit.
Service We were seated and given paper menus (yay!). The waiter points to the QR code on the menu! It was difficult to see the print ( getting old and it was dim lighting), but the phone was put into use in a good way. I love using the phone as a tool to see through photos.
We were asked what we wanted to drink. I asked for water, just not the expensive kind. Yes, I've learned the hard way. It's not fun to get the $8 water instead of the $4 one. We didn't get any water.
I saw on the menu downstairs that they had laab, one of my favorites. I placed an order in for that quickly. Once I had the paper menu and my phone, I could browse with ease. I was torn between 2 menu items, so I got them both. Service was spotty. I never got a drink, and saw some tea being served, so I ordered that. The tea came when I was almost done eating my food. Getting the check took at least 20 minutes after flagging them down. I did see a lot of mingle around time.
Food I've had a lot of Asian food, and this place is awesome. Ingredients were fresh and flavor was authentic. They used fresh Thai basil as a garnish. I was allowed to take the paper menu, so I am a happy camper! I will order...

The food - There are some dishes that shine through and and that doesn't. Tom yum is my all time favourite soup, however I found that the Tom yum soup here wasn't so great. Now that I've got the negative part out let's focus on the good things. Must try, gyosas mixto, rollitos trucha, Thai green curry, phad thai, nasi gorang and their tres leches de macha.
Service - Service is usually good, try avoid going when they are having a change of shift.
Ambience - Pretty reasonable. You could go on a date or romantic dinner (pro tip ask for cutlery instead of chopsticks if you're not used to chopsticks) Good place to catch up with friends or family or for a corporate lunch. Not very sure about how kids friendly their menu is, although you could always get spring rolls for the kids.
Would I go back again?...
Read moreI was dumbfounded to have heard such a filthy mouth from someone working at such an elegant place. Let me explain my experience at this particular WOK.
As I was at the register with the lady who attends customers, I overheard a lady using very obscene words, of course in spanish. She was almost screaming at a co-worker the words Munda, malparida. Those were just some of the words and not all. I quickly left because I was with my little cousins.
By the way, the other co-worker did say the ladies name who was cursing. I think it was Lucy or Lucía. She was cross-eyed.
If management reads this opinion, I recommend not having that worker employed at WOK. I am not the person to have someone fired, but in this case it is well deserved. Shame on the management if they do not take action. Please follow me. ...
