Tourist You've Been Warned, You Must Read Review of Morrison 114 Hotel Pending review Tourist be careful at this hotel, we were robbed by the staff for over $350. They have a nice scam. My wife is from Bogota and we visit to celebrate and have our 4 month old son baptized at Parroquia San Gregorio Ambrosio church,by the bishop. Before checking out May 21 , 2019, we had our complimentary breakfast. A staff member came over slowing us down, being we needed to get to the airport. Our breakfast was from 8:00 am to 9;15 am, because of this hotel staff making small talk. Upon returning to our room my wife found money was missing from her wallet that was packed. We immediately went to the front desk and ask for management. We were met by the general manager Eduardo Sanchez. We told him $350 American dollars and 20,000 peso were missing from my wife's wallet. He ask my wife, "you sure you did not miss place it or spend the money?" What he did not know this was my infant sons money, given to him my his grandparents and god parents as a baptism gift to him. So my wife is going to steal from our son. Indirectly Eduardo Sanchez called my wife a thief. She placed his baptism money separately and in a special place in her wallet for our son and I watched her organize her money right before breakfast. We requested the police be called, and Eduardo Sanchez refused, I request camera video he told us they had, he refused, PLUS i request to review the electronic card key log that shows who entered our room, during our time at breakfast, he refused. This just happened minutes ago and he refused to investigate. They knew we had an infant and an international flight to catch. We filed a police report ourselves and were told this is very common to tourist at hotels, that are leaving for the airport. They take just enough money you will not notice until later. Eduardo suggested next time use the security safe in our room. Guess what, the staff has the master key and code for that too. Any one that has stayed at this hotel if you were missing some money you think you lost, miscounted or maybe spent but know you had more money when you left this hotel, think again. Mr. Eduardo Sanchez was going to get to the bottom of this and did nothing. He was going to investigate and look at videos and check room key scanner, but did not. In my opinion and the feeling I received as they rushed us out the hotel, the general manager Eduardo Sanchez and the staff are all involved in robbing us. Now you know why a 4 star hotel is so cheap on price, they make the difference up by robbing their guest. What is really sad, they stole money from a 4 month old infant. They stole his baptism money his grandparents, god parents and family members gave to him. Eduardo Sanchez and his staff at the Hotel Morrison are the lowest of low scum of the earth to steal money...

I recently stayed at the Hotel Morrison in Usaquén, Bogotá, and I have to say, my experience was incredibly disappointing. From the moment I arrived at the lobby, I expected better attention and service, but what I encountered was far from satisfactory.
First off, I made my reservation through Booking.com, assuming the price included everything I needed for the night. To my surprise, I was informed that I had to pay upfront, which I was not prepared for. On top of that, I was charged an extra 19% because I’m Colombian, which felt completely unfair! I asked if I could pay the amount that was listed on the booking platform, but the receptionist, Camilo, was shockingly rude. He said, “You are Colombian and like all Colombians, we have to pay taxes.” It was even more frustrating because I don’t live here! Why should I have to pay extra taxes?
His response was not only rude, it felt insulting. He handed me a piece of paper with tax information and then went on to mockingly ask if I had renounced my citizenship, as if this was some kind of joke.
To make matters worse, when I inquired about any fees for not staying, since I had booked a month in advance for only two nights, he again was dismissive and called someone else instead of answering my question directly. It was clear he just wanted to brush me off.
I understand there are rules and taxes, but the customer service I received was appalling. I felt belittled and insulted throughout the entire interaction. I’ve been awake since 2 AM, and all I wanted was a simple answer, not to be treated like a nuisance.
In short, my experience at the Hotel Morrison was tarnished by the terrible service I received from Camilo. It’s not about the taxes; it’s about how I was treated as a customer. I will not be returning to this hotel, and I highly recommend looking elsewhere for...
Read moreIt was excellent because of the clean room, clean bathroom with hot water that took only a minute to arrive when first turned on, comfortable beds, warm, helpful reception and restaurant staff, and superb location for our needs. a park along a fast running canal with nice walking paths runs along the edge of the hotel which fronts on avenida 19 with lots of taxis. The breakfast buffet is relatively simple but with fresh fruit, fresh fruit juice, toast, eggs, and a special (for me) consume. Teo, the hotel restaurant, was clean with attentive staff. We ate two dinners in the hotel. because of the holidays there seemed to be few people staying in the hotel and the restaurant was almost empty with few staff. BUT food was good and the drinks fine. I had a martini cocktail with both dinners. I was doubtful about the first time because the two wait staff did not know what a martini was. I watched them take out a book which I interpreted as learning how to make the martini. they made it and it was drinkable if not excellent. the second night a different staff produced a classic martini worthy of any establishment. What might Morrison improve? the cards used for the elevators and room, tended to lose there codes and I repeatedly over our stay had to have them changed. Not sure why, but it was not my cell phone damaging the cards. the hotel is within walking distance of many fine places to eat and drink: Shamu, a Wok and a crepes and wafles all a short distance away; a 24 hr small shop across the street, a 24 h pharmacy two blocks away, and UniCentro within...
