Do not stay at this hotel. My family was supposed to stay six nights in the hotel, but we stayed one night, and it was a nightmare. We booked two rooms: a room for my husband and myself and a room for my kids, age 20 and 15. The kids’ room had no running water, which meant no toilet and no shower. After a full day of traveling, starting with a flight at 6 a.m. out of Texas, the kids wanted to use a bathroom in a clean place and in their own room. No luck. Who checks in customers into a room without running water? Their room was a mess. It looked like the hotel staff took off the headboard that connected the two twin beds and then pushed them apart. There were holes in the wall where the screws went for the headboard, and there was an outline of the headboard on the wall. The beds had a sheet and a top sheet, and that was it. What was strange about the kids’ room and our room was that in order to turn on the lights, you had to use your room key. ||We did get the water turned on eventually, but the nightmare continued. Later that night, my daughter was in our room when we heard what sounded like a mother and son fighting in the hallway, but we were wrong. The screams of “No, No, No,” and then the slamming of the door, and then kicking of the door in, and then the guttural, terrified screams are sounds that I will never forget. It was domestic violence and a possible rape in the room next to us. My daughter was terrified. She nor I had never heard screams of domestic violence until now. With my husband, we ran out of our room and got the security guard. When the security guard heard the screams, he unbuckled his gun holder and broke down the door. “They were just playing,” the security guard informed us. That was not playing. Well, no one slept that night, and as a family, we found a new hotel and checked out that morning. We had stayed at the hotel two years ago and had a fantastic experience, but we were told that they were switching management. It looks like the management destroyed the hotel. The rooms were not clean, and my kids' room had no running water. Plus having to use your room key to turn on the lights was strange. Though the hotel could not have foreseen the domestic violence in the room next to us, our family did not feel safe. Do...

Read moreI stayed in the ATTIC SUITE. Unbelievable !!!||There is no other way to describe it.||If staying here does not make you feel fabulous then you are either very spoiled or no longer alive.||The room was massive. Surrounded by balconies overlooking the city and hillside. Every creature comfort imaginable. Fireplace, Kitchen, Jacuzzi, huge bed, sofas, tables.||Set in a beautiful old world hotel that has been lovingly restored and refitted. That wonderful charm and warmth that makes you feel very important. Relax with a welcome cocktail or just take in the wonder of your room.||All this for less than $100 US. ||Breakfast is plentiful and adequate and the staff are the epitomy of professionalism.||My only complaint was that there was a lack of crockery/cutlery for the Kitchenette which I am sure they would have rectifies by now.||I booked this hotel because I wanted something reasonbly close to the Airport so I only stayed one night. Next time I will base myself from here. I have stayed in some great hotels (and some real dives) but this place just blew my mind. I cannot wait to get back to Bogota and the Exe Santefe Boutique Hotel.||I can not rave enough about this room. BOOK IT !!! BOOK IT !! BOOK IT !!||Then leave me a message to thank me !!||By the way, I had no issues with the wifi...
