Incredible. My partner and I are huge coffee enthusiasts. We have been travelling the world for 3 years now and have visited many countries in the coffee belt and here at Alheli is the best coffee I have ever discovered. Santiago the owner is an extremely impressive and talented coffee professional. His passion and expertise is evident at every part of the process from partnering with the best coffee farmers, through to the roasting and down to the brewing of the coffee. We came to Alheli coffee shop every day during our 2 week stay in Palomino. We also took the brewing methods course with Santiago which was such an amazing experience. We learnt so much and can’t wait to use our new skills for our home brewing. We also brought roasted beans to take home so we can continue drinking his coffee in England. All of the staff in the coffee shop are also extremely good baristas making consistently perfect coffees. All very friendly and welcoming. Thank you to Santiago for your wonderful creations! We were so happy to find this place. Their specialty coffee is out of this world, and it roasted, brewed and served by a master of coffee. The owners are so welcoming and kind, and their place has such a warm atmosphere. We ended up here everyday of our stay. We also did a class with the owner on different brewing methods; it was really insightful, and hands on. We made multiple different coffees and got to do all the steps ourselves. My girlfriend is a barista so a lot made sense to her, but I was a bit of a novice to brewing and it was so easy to follow. One of the best locations I found in Colombia. Amazing coffee first (Flat White with Oatmilk), great food second (Bacon Toast) but just a special location last. The staff was very lovely and really did a great job of taking care. It felt like a home there and I felt very welcome. I ended up doing the coffee schooling for 2hrs (20$) which ended up being way better than I ever imagined. Doing the same in Europe would cost at least 5 times more. I learned so much and it was great fun. I can recommend it to any coffee lover! Just opens your mind. When I come back I will for sure only come to Palomino to pass by at this café. Loved...
