Restaurante Mulata Criolla (Cocina Típica Antioqueña, Italiana) — Restaurant in Medellín

I wrote their WhatsApp (twice) to try to make a reservation, but I never got a response. It was easy to get a table, though, even on a Friday night opera night.

They had a special buy one drink, get the second half off. We did that, but the drinks were both terrible. Tasted like water. They also forgot to give the discount, but they fixed that when I pointed out the mistake.

The salmon was bad. Overcooked to the point of killing any flavor. It came with an alfredo pasta that had way too much cheese on top of it but had a nice flavor, almost like a creamy mac and cheese.

The sterling steak wasn't bad. A little bland but it was a nice, thick cut.

It had a nice ambiance (so long as there's no party at the lico express next door, which they can't control) and pretty decor. Seating was only outside. They wouldn't let us sit inside.

I would only recommend ordering pasta here. Overall I was left a little...

Horrible experience when we came in a group. The first server was extremely rude, a young woman. Half of the menu was not available according to her and she told us they had no coffee. We asked for water as we had been walking around all day and we had to ask twice more before we received bottled water after 20 minutes.

After that a different server began helping us. The food we did order was delicious but after it became clear that we were receiving bad service we didn't ordered anything else. On top of that the bathrooms were locked and once we entered with the key there was no...

Decepción total: precios altísimos para una calidad mediocre Nuestra experiencia en este restaurante fue, en una palabra, decepcionante. Los precios son absurdamente altos, comparables a los mejores restaurantes de Poblado, pero la calidad de la comida no está ni cerca de justificarlo.

Para empezar, los platos se sirven sin ninguna salsa, y si pides alguna, te traen pequeños sobres de Fruco, como si estuvieras en un restaurante de comida rápida. Esto es inaceptable para un lugar que cobra estos precios.

Otro detalle incómodo es el baño: no tienen uno propio, sino que debes caminar varios cientos de metros hasta un baño público, y te entregan una llave para poder entrar.

Lo peor de todo fue la comida. Pedimos unos dedos de pollo para los niños, que costaban 33.000 COP, y la calidad era terrible. El pollo tenía un sabor a viejo, la porción era mínima (solo cuatro dedos de pollo y cuatro papas wedges), sin salsas ni acompañamientos. Nos quejamos y, afortunadamente, no nos lo cobraron, pero el simple hecho de que sirvan un plato así a ese precio es un despropósito.
