Aroma a Café is my favorite restaurant in Uvita. My husband and I absolutely love everything about it—the food, the service, and the warm, welcoming vibe make it a standout spot.

Their menu offers a wide variety of dishes, from authentic Costa Rican cuisine to other flavorful options, ensuring there’s something for everyone. Every dish we’ve tried has been fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can tell the chef puts real care and passion into every plate.

The staff is friendly, attentive, and always willing to make recommendations or accommodate special requests, which makes every visit even more enjoyable. The cozy atmosphere is perfect for a casual lunch or a romantic dinner.

We always leave with full stomachs and happy hearts. If you’re in Uvita, I highly recommend making a stop here—you...

It takes a lot to disappoint me- I don’t really prefer to write bad reviews but I felt INCREDIBLY uncomfortable when I came to visit. I showed up with my dog, who is extremely well behaved. The two young girls that were working there were not very friendly. I asked for breakfast and a coffee. The coffee was good- breakfast was ok- the bread was a little stale. I had asked for chicken specifically for my dog. When I fed it to him on the plate after he was done one came over to me and told me not to do that? They could have easily served it in a Togo container. Mind you the girls played rock paper scissors to decide who was going to speak to me- it was a very childish setting and not at all what I was expecting. They made me feel very unwelcome and I for sure will never come back in my frequent...

While staying in Dominicalito, we dropped in for a late breakfast with our two mini dachshunds, yes, dogs are welcomed just about anywhere except in the supermarkets of course.

The service was top notch, very attentive to our pups needs, brought them water and made them a yummy plain chicken meal.

We had almond milk lattes that were so delicious we ordered more regardless of being 85 degrees outside, my partner's omelet dish that was so tasty, maybe because all local ingredients used are so fresh, and my pancake dish was perfection, big and fluffy with a side of fresh fruit and delish syrup, surprisingly I didn't feel heavy after such a big meal. Definitely recommend and will be back to try their lunch...

Food was super low quality and disappointing. My boyfriend had a piece of ham (he doesn’t eat pork) on his chicken sandwich which was really gross to him. The chicken nor fries had any taste. (We were starving so we did eat most of what we ordered but felt sick after). I ordered a típico fish dish, which turned out to be tilapia that I could barely eat. There was a weird tuna pasta thing on the side. The rice and beans were edible. We were super disappointed as we were expecting it to be good based on other reviews. I was tempted to tell other people I saw walking in to turn around … the atmosphere and music were good and service was super friendly, but it was definitely a bummer for our day.

My experience at Aromas a Café was simply exceptional! The food and service from Ronald were top-notch. During my stay in Uvita, we chose to eat here every day, not only because of the affordable prices but also due to the quality of the dishes and the charming atmosphere. This place was highly recommended by my Airbnb host, and I will definitely recommend it to other travelers visiting Uvita. Ronald made sure to give us a warm welcome every time we arrived, making us feel right at home. The attention to detail and the friendliness of the staff really enhance the experience. I'm sure that once I leave, I will miss this place and its delicious dishes. Thanks Ronald for the great service!

GOOD small little cafe/restaurant! It is located right by the road so it can get quite noisy. Food was okay, but did not hit that “wow!” moment. Staff were friendly but not exactly talkative or engaging. They had some soft jazz music playing in the background and it is outdoor seating. Free WiFi available and dog-friendly. Wait time was not long at all, we spent a max of 30-40 minutes for all the meals. Good menu variety. Overall, if you’re looking for a quick casual breakfast this is your place, if you want something with more flavor or kick to it I would go somewhere else!
