We had lunch at Soda Ranchito. The service was really good, Maria was super friendly and we felt very welcome. The food was amazing! We had two casados, one with fish the other one with grilled chicken. Everything was super fresh and tasty. The portion was also big, so we were full afterwards, so you really get something for the price (which is also very fair and not expensive). We also took two fresh juices which were super tasty. We sat next to the small river which flows right next to the restaurant. We looked right into the green and even saw some tropical animals!
Can definitely recommend!

Tucked just off the main road, this soda serves food that locals crave and travelers talk about. From the first bite, you’ll know this is the flavor of Costa Rica.

The beans on the menu didn’t say with cheese, which was totally fine for me but fyi for anyone with lactose intolerance. The Alfredo pasta didn’t have a description and was loaded with slices of ham and mushrooms. My son picked it all out. We drank a pineapple smoothie, strawberry milkshake, coke and cafe con leche. Service was friendly and items were brought out staggered but it wasn’t...
