Food was delicious. Atmosphere was great. Food took about 15mins to come out, and it was hot when it arrived. We have visited twice over two days. So far we have tried the antioxidant smoothie which was delicious if you like green smoothies. The energizer wasn't to my taste but, it was good. The breakfast burrito was huge, and really tasty. I can't remember what it was called, but some one had a curry burrito. It wasn't spicy, but it tasted amazing. Again a really generous sized meal. Also the 3 hummus plate was a good size. There was a mushroom hummus, chickpea hummus, and another tasty dip. The flat bread was fresh, I think I had about 12 pieces. I couldn't finish it, but it was great. Iced chai lattes were so refreshing in the heat. All in all the plate sizes were worth the money, as a treat. I couldn't afford to eat like this every day, but it was a pleasant change to our favourite gallo pinto breakfast....

Spent 4 days in Uvita and happened to try this incredible place the first night. The first night, I had the tuna steak (medium) which was incredibly fresh. The second morning, we decided to come back and get pastries to go on our way to the Nauyaca waterfall . As expected, they were delicious. Tonight, we returned for dinner and I ordered the trout with creamy mashed potatoes and dill. The trout was absolutely impeccable and easily the most well cooked fish I’ve had. The drinks are also incredible and the mojito is highly recommended. Throughout our experience, we had the same waiter named- Farlen. He was wonderful and made fantastic recommendations. Farlen went above and beyond and if possible, try and have him as a waiter. If you want incredible food, excellent service and reasonable prices- Sibu is the place for you. We will be eating breakfast there...

I ordered a bagel with only creamcheese and avocado to go. Which should be $3000 + maybe $400 for the avocado. The BLT bagel comes with egg, bacon, creamcheese, tomato & lettuce was $4,900 colones. They charged me $5,400 colones ( $13.50 CAD ) for mine... which should obviously cost MUCH less then the BLT! Common sense. Less ingredients = less cost. But they just kept arguing with me saying avocado needs to be charged +$1,400. So I said fine ..refund me, I'll get the BLT. Now remove everything and instead put avocado on it ( still completely overpaying ) And they just give me this snarky attitude and said it will still be the SAME $5,400 price because they all of a sudden now need to charge me $600 for the PAPER TAKE OUT BOX... how does that make any sense at all. This place is such a scam. I remember it being a scam when I was there...

The place is very nice and tidy, definitely stands out. The selection of foods is great too. The trout ceviche was awesome, but can’t say the same for the other dishes we ordered. I ordered medium seared tuna steak but got overcooked little piece of tuna. I wouldn’t be upset but my friend ordered tuna burger (that is significantly cheaper) and got seemingly bigger piece (which unfortunately wasn’t cooked to his desire either). Also, got same dish in several other restaurants in Manuel Antonio and got way better quality for cheaper. Another sad part, as I was still watching ceviche waiter came and took away my chips without even asking if I’m finished, so I had to ask for another plate of chips. So all in all, vibe is good - food and service isn’t.

We stopped by this evening on a whim, when we noticed it was one of the few restaurants in town that was relatively busy... always a good sign, and I am certainly glad we did. I ordered the Argentinian Ribeye, which was the special for the evening. They served me a premium cut 500g steak, prepared to perfection... Incredible flavor and juicy. I enjoyed washing it down with a local artisan double IPA, also delicious. The wait staff were also attentive and engaging. The price was great value for what you get, easily 50% less than a comparable cut in the states. Sibu Cafe will be one of my first stops when we return to Uvita next year! Highly recommended, even for the most demanding connoisseurs of a fine steak!

This is Uvita’s best upscale dining location. The prices are higher than sodas but come with great food quality & service. Your money will go further at Sibu than comparably priced restaurants adjacent to the beach. We started with the jaguar fish ceviche. Beautiful presentation and phenomenal taste. I ordered the sesame crusted tuna filet and it was cooked perfectly. The filet was served on top of a bed of mashed potatoes and drizzled with a horseradish cream sauce. Dinner and appetizers were so delicious that my group decided we must also try dessert. We decided on the carrot cake and chocolate cakes. Both were great options. Moist and flavorful with a beautiful presentation.
